BetMGM’s Partnership with Manchester City

As the premier destination for sports betting, we know how to put on a show… and so do BetMGM’s history-making partners at Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s team dominated world football in the 2022-23 season by winning the FA Cup, Premier League and Champions League. In doing so they entered the history books as one of just eight clubs to have completed the continental treble.

This historic achievement follows Man City’s continued dominance of the Premier League and other domestic competitions in recent years. We are thrilled to expand on the club’s existing partnership with our sister brand LeoVegas, aligning BetMGM with such an elite name in the world of sport.

History of Manchester City

A club with a rich and storied history, City was initially founded in 1880 as St Mark's West Gorton and officially became Manchester City FC in 1894. City play in a famous sky blue home kit and since 2003 has played all home games at the City of Manchester Stadium – known since 2014 as the Etihad Stadium.

Man City’s previous home was Maine Road from 1923 onwards. Famed for its ‘Kippax Stand’, Maine Road was adored by Manchester City fans while the band Oasis, some of whom were supporters of the club, performed there throughout the years.

In 2008 the Abu Dhabi United Group agreed to take over the club. In the years following, City has established itself as a force not just in England but across Europe.

In their 141 years of history, Manchester City has won 26 major trophies, 14 under one of the most successful managers in history in Pep Guardiola, who joined the club back in 2016. Guardiola has elevated City to even greater heights, winning four league titles and five cups in just six seasons before leading the club to a historic treble in 2022/23.
