NFL 2025 Season Outright Tips
With the 2025 NFL season getting underway this week, excitement is growing for what the latest chapter of this iconic competition will bring.
The last NFL action witnessed was at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, as the Philadelphia Eagles romped to a 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs at Caesars Super Bowl.
After the confetti had settled in New Orleans and the Eagles had paraded the Vince Lombardi Trophy pack in Philly, attention quickly turned to the 2025 NFL season.
The head coach merry-go-round has been completed and the NFL draft has come and gone, as franchises desperately seek a way to change their fortunes around or stay ahead of the chasing pack.
It looks set to be another intriguing six months of football in store and here are two candidates who could be the ones to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on 8th February.
Tip 1 - Philadelphia Eagles to win the Super Bowl @ 13/2
Having dominated previous champions Kansas City at Super Bowl LIX, it's hard to look past the Philadelphia Eagles when it comes to contenders for the title this season.
Nick Sirianni’s side were the dominant force in the NFC East and saw off the Green Bay Packers, LA Rams and Washington Commanders on their way to beating the Chiefs.
It was the stacked Eagles' offense that proved too much for many rival teams, with Jalen Hurts enjoying his strong season so far.
Responding to the heartbreak of losing to the Chiefs at Super Bowl LVII, Hurts helped guide the Eagles back to the big game to get revenge against Kansas City.
The arrival of running back Saquon Barkley from the New York Giants last season seemed to be the final piece of the puzzle for Sirianni’s team.
Rushing for over 2,000 yards during the regular season, Barkley has given the Eagles a running threat that they were lacking during previous campaigns.
With the likes of wide receivers AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith, Hurts has some serious weapons outside him and this Eagles team should be there or thereabouts when it comes to the business end of the season once again.
Tip 2 - Baltimore Ravens to win the Super Bowl @ 7/1
A team that looks capable of knocking the Eagles off their perch from the AFC, the Baltimore Ravens are another franchise worth considering for Super Bowl glory.
The Ravens have been the nearly men in recent years, just losing out 27-25 at Highmark Stadium against the Buffalo Bills in the playoffs last season.
Baltimore do have some formidable teams to come up against in the AFC, with the likes of Buffalo and Kansas City to negotiate before potentially making a return to the Super Bowl.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson is the main man in Baltimore and the playmaker is likely to be a serious contender for the regular season MVP.
Jackson delivered a remarkable campaign last season, racking up 4,189 passing yards and 41 touchdown throws during the 2024 regular season.
He also added four rushing scores of his own, reminding everyone of the dual-threat danger he poses both in the air and on the ground.
If the 28-year-old can replicate those numbers this year while leading the Ravens back to the Super Bowl, it will be hard to deny him MVP honours.
The Baltimore offense will also be boosted by DeAndre Hopkins arrival at the franchise and he could be the final piece of the puzzle for the Ravens.
A five-time Pro Bowler, the experienced Hopkins is still chasing that elusive first Super Bowl ring and he will be driven to bring success to Baltimore this season.
Head coach John Harbaugh knows what it takes to lead the Ravens to Super Bowl glory after doing so in the 2012 season and his side have a good chance of repeating the feat this term.
