Adam Azim vs Steve Claggett Betting Tips

British star Adam Azim will look to rebuild world-title momentum when he returns to the ring and headlines Boxxer's card against Steve Claggett.

The two men are at opposite ends of their careers, with Claggett looking for one or two wins to earn a second world title shot, while Azim has yet to challenge for world honours.

Azim was set to fight in January against Gustavo Lemos, but injuries saw both men withdraw from the bout.

That means Azim will return to the ring for the first time since November, while Claggett was in action in March, beating Alejandro Frias Rodriguez.

Azim beat Kurt Scoby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the undercard of Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn, but Saturday's fight will give him a chance to step into the spotlight on his own.

Both men will now head to the OVO Arena Wembley in London and a passionate crowd are expected to pack into the 12,500 capacity arena.

The winner will hope to secure a world title shot before the end of the year, and with the fight on terrestrial TV in the UK, it is a chance for Azim to grow his profile further as he looks to become a household name.

Azim should have to work harder than ever

Tip 1 – Over 10.5 Rounds @ 10/11

At the age of 23, it is safe to say that Azim has the world at his feet as a boxer, as he has already won 14 fights since making his debut. Eleven of those victories have come before the final bell, but Azim's absence from the ring will be far from ideal.

All eyes will be on Azim as the headline fighter and while he can handle the pressure, he is facing one of the most durable fighters in his division.

Claggett may have lost eight times, but he has only lost by knockout on one occasion and that came at the start of his career in 2011.

The Canadian has had 50 fights as a professional and was able to take former world champion Teofimo Lopez all the way two years ago, when the pair competed for the WBO title.

Claggett may be the stepping stone that Azim needs to prove he is the real deal, and the Canadian should be able to push him further than anyone has before.

Azim is classy and fast, but Claggett's engine is one of the best in the business and this fight looks like it could go the distance.

Azim to have his hand raised

Tip 2 – Adam Azim by Decision @ 17/10

Azim has been labelled one of Britain's best prospects for many years and his recent displays have done nothing to change that perception. He has won five fights in a row inside the distance, with his biggest victories coming against Ohara Davies and Sergey Lipinets.

Azim has the skillset to keep Claggett at bay, but he will also not be willing to take too many risks.

Twenty-eight of Claggett's 40 wins have come inside the distance, meaning Azim cannot afford to overlook Claggett. Some rounds should be messy as Claggett's relentless work-rate helps him get inside, but over 12 rounds, it is Azim's superior boxing skills that should see him home.
