MOSES ITAUMA VS JERMAINE FRANKLIN TIPS: BACK BRITON TO END IT EARLY
British heavyweight boxing has a new star and his name is Moses Itauma.
But before he can start realising his world championship dream, he must overcome a tough opponent in 32-year-old campaigner Jermaine Franklin (24-2, 15 KOs), whose only two losses have come against Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua.
After blowing away Whyte in one round last time out, Ituama (13-0, 11 KOs) will feel confident about getting the job done against an opponent who was defeated by the same man.
Below, we break down the fight and offer up three tips that pack a punch for the occasion…

Tip 1 – Moses Ituama to win in rounds 1-2 @ 27/5
There’s a reason why Ituama is one of the hottest properties in British boxing right now.
The heavy-hitting 21-year-old has not seen a third round since 2023 and can count handy fighters like Mariusz Wach and Mike Balogun on his list of recent wins, alongside the notable scalp of Whyte.
Franklin has only had two losses in his career – both were to Britons in Britain – but he didn’t pull up any trees in his last victory over Ivan Dychko on the Canelo Alvarez versus Terence Crawford undercard.
All signs here point to an early stoppage – Ituama to win in rounds one or two looks the play at 27/5.
Tip 2 – Under 6.5 rounds @ 3/4
If you’re after a safer bet, one option is to increase the number of rounds the bout will last.
We see it going for Ituama regardless of duration – but this bet also covers a shock haymaker sneaking through. This is heavyweight boxing, after all.
While Franklin has dragged his fights out of late, it’s difficult to see him managing to keep Ituama at bay here for the full distance.
This is the safest selection – it should come through.

Tip 3 – Moses Ituama to win in the first round @ 23/2
Can you tell we think this will be a short fight?
Years ago, Joshua got “lift off” when he stopped Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley in a coming-of-age fight.
While Franklin doesn’t represent the same sort of challenge as the former world heavyweight champion, it could be the sort of result and performance that gets fans to sit up and take notice en route to bigger and more lucrative events.
A first-round win has landed in two of Itauma’s last three fights and eight bouts overall.
That’s why the first round stoppage makes sense to us.
