BETMGM VS LAURA WOODS: PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS NIGHT 6

The BetMGM Premier League Darts campaign arrives in Nottingham for Night 6 knowing one thing: Luke Littler is well and truly cooking.

Newly crowned UK Open champion Littler burst back into life by winning Night 5 in Cardiff behind two 170 checkouts and a 111 semi-final average while even finding time to go eight darts into a perfect leg into the bargain.

Littler’s dominant display meant our ambassador Laura Woods moved 4-1 clear in her weekly Premier League Darts challenge against BetMGM.

Each week, Laura pits her darting wits against the house to predict the action across three key markets:

  • Night Winner
  • Most 180s
  • Highest Checkout

A point is awarded for every correct prediction but please note that, if someone calls all three correctly, they’ll earn an extra two bonus points (meaning they get five points in total for that night).

With Laura now three ahead after the opening five nights, the pressure is on us.

NIGHT 6 FIXTURES

Here’s the draw bracket for BetMGM Premier League Darts Night 6:

Nottingham bracket

While Littler has reasserted himself, great rival Luke Humphries remains third-bottom of the table after he followed up a 6-1 last-eight trouncing of Michael van Gerwen with a semi-final defeat to Jonny Clayton.

It doesn’t get much easier for Cool Hand with Gian van Veen – something of a bogey man for the reigning BetMGM Premier League champion – lying in wait in Nottingham, followed by the winner of a massive tussle between Gerwyn Price and Littler.

The other half of the draw provides Josh Rock with a fantastic chance to arrest his winless slide as he takes on Stephen Bunting, a player he beat in the UK Open over the weekend.

League leader Clayton, meanwhile, looks to continue his unbeaten quarter-final run against Van Gerwen.

NIGHT 6 BETTING ODDS

So what do the odds say is likely to happen?

NIGHT 6 WINNER BETTING

It’s no surprise Littler leads the night winner market at 6/4 after the way he went about things in Cardiff and Minehead.

Humphries remains 5/1 second favourite even though he is yet to make a nightly final and occupies a spot in the same half of the draw as Littler.

Price and Clayton both come in at 7/1 meaning three of the top four in the betting come from the same half of the bracket, while three-time beaten finalist Van Veen joins Rock and Bunting at 9/1.

Uncharacteristically, seven-time Premier League champion Van Gerwen brings up the rear in the night winner market at 12/1.

NIGHT 6 180s MARKET

Littler heads the betting to hit the most 180s on Night 6 – but it was Clayton, not the Nuke, who won that particular market in Cardiff with 13 maximums.

Indeed, the 19-year-old has yet to nail this market across any of the five nights to date and is currently 5/4 to do so in Nottingham.

Humphries (9/2) is followed by Clayton (6/1), Rock (7/1) and Bunting (9/1) while Price sits at 10s, Van Veen 11s and Van Gerwen again bottom of the market at 14/1.

NIGHT 6 HIGHEST CHECKOUT ODDS

You cannot argue with a 170 checkout, much less two of them.

Littler’s spot of fishing in Cardiff meant he easily landed the highest out market last week and earned Laura the first of her two points on the night.

He is 7/2 to land the highest out again this week in Nottingham with Clayton and Humphries locked at 5/1 behind him.

Rock and Bunting (both 6/1) are a smidge ahead of Price, Van Veen and Van Gerwen at 7s.

It is 7/4 for the big fish to be spotted for the second successive week.
