LEVERKUSEN VS BAYERN TIPS: 3 BEST BETS FOR BAYARENA BATTLE
Bayern Munich’s grip on the Bundesliga remains firm as they head to BayArena to face the only side able to usurp their dominance over the division in recent years.
They may be 22 points behind Bayern but Bayer Leverkusen are unbeaten in five across all competitions, with a result here putting them back in the Champions League conversation for next season.
Vincent Kompany’s side ran out 3-0 winners in the reverse fixture back in November – will Leverkusen respond after their impressive midweek display against Arsenal?
Here are three betting tips for Saturday’s headline Bundesliga clash…

Tip 1 – Michael Olise to score or assist @ 17/20
What an unbelievable second season former Crystal Palace forward Michael Olise is having in Munich.
Like Harry Kane – who continues to edge closer to Robert Lewandowski’s Bundesliga record of 41 goals in a season – Olise is also chasing history, on track to smash his previous best for goals and assists in a league season with 28 combined so far.
In all competitions that figure rises even further to 41 goal involvements – just two short of last season’s total if you count the three goals and two assists in the Club World Cup.
The France international is making it look all too easy at the moment and is 17/20 to score or assist against a Leverkusen side missing key personnel down the side Olise typically operates on.
A brace and an assist against Atalanta in the Champions League midweek should only bolster his confidence, much to the annoyance of an always-raucous BayArena crowd.
What you need to win: Olise to register either a goal or an assist, or both, during the match

Tip 2 – Kofane over 1.5 shots on target @ 29/10
With Victor Boniface moving to Werder Bremen and Patrik Schick spending time on the sidelines, Leverkusen have turned to a 19-year-old Cameroonian and surely have no regrets.
Christian Kofane has stepped up and delivered seven goals and eight assists across all competitions this campaign, while giving Kasper Hjulmand’s side a constant outlet.
He’s scored in back-to-back Bundesliga games going into the weekend with two shots on target in both – and that’s without mentioning how much trouble he caused William Saliba and Gabriel in the 1-1 draw against the Gunners.
It’s highly likely Bayern will take the lead in this game, pushing the likes of Kofane to take more risks and chances in a bid to get the home side back into it.
He’s certainly capable of testing the Bayern keeper at least once or twice – especially with Manuel Neuer still out of action and backup Jonas Urbig also a question mark.
What you need to win: Kofane to register at least two shots on target
Tip 3 – Quansah & Tapsoba to be booked @ 21/2
No player has picked up more yellow cards in Germany’s top division for Leverkusen than Jarell Quansah.
Currently on loan from parent club Liverpool, the English centre-back has seven bookings to his name already and will most likely have to defend against a player he knows all too well in Luis Diaz.
Diaz has won 30 fouls for Bayern domestically this season, the third-highest in the squad behind the other two members of Europe’s most efficient front three in Kane (32) and Olise (40).
Olise will be up against Edmond Tapsoba on the other side, who will not have Alejandro Grimaldo in front of him after the Spaniard’s suspension, and also carries quite a reputation for committing fouls himself.
He’s been booked in four of his last five appearances against the reigning champions, so we’ve thrown him into our most ambitious tip of the lot: a 21/2 double backing both Quansah and Tapsoba getting their names in the referee’s book.
What you need to win: Both Quansah & Tapsoba to be shown a card during the game
