Premier League Gameweek 15 Tips

The footballing action comes thick and fast over December and after a busy midweek programme, there is another full slate of fixtures in the Premier League spanning Saturday to Monday.

Leaders Arsenal kick off Saturday's schedule with a 12:30 clash at Aston Villa, while Manchester United's visit to Molineux to face rock-bottom Wolves rounds off Gameweek 15 on Monday.

Tip 1 – Aston Villa to win or draw - double chance - against Arsenal @ 22/25

Arsenal extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to 18 matches with Wednesday's 2-0 victory over Brentford, keeping themselves five points clear of second-placed Manchester City, but the Gunners face a huge test when they head to Villa Park.

Unai Emery's Aston Villa recorded a thrilling 4-3 win at Brighton on Wednesday for their sixth victory in a row and if they manage to repeat the trick on Saturday, they will move to within three points of Mikel Arteta's visitors.

The Villans have not tasted defeat at Villa Park since August and they are eyeing a ninth win in a row at home, evidence of how much of a tough nut to crack they have been in the West Midlands.

With Arsenal's last two away outings ending in draws, at Sunderland and Chelsea, this looks to be a pivotal clash at this stage of the campaign and Villa look worth backing in the double chance market.

Tip 2 – Manchester City to beat Sunderland and both teams to score @ 9/5

Sunderland have never won at the Etihad Stadium in 12 attempts - losing 10 and drawing twice - but they should be able to put in a good account of themselves based on how they have performed so far this season.

The Black Cats drew 1-1 at Anfield on Wednesday against Liverpool, adding to the points they have taken in fixtures with Arsenal, Villa and Crystal Palace, and they have managed to score at least once in each of their last five visits to the blue side of Manchester.

But overcoming the Citizens at home, where they have won six of their seven league games this season, looks like a tall order, especially as Pep Guardiola's men head into the contest following Tuesday's thrilling 5-4 win at Fulham.

Tip 3 – Newcastle to win to nil against Burnley @ 19/20

Burnley slipped to a fifth defeat in a row with Wednesday's 1-0 home loss to Crystal Palace and they now face a treacherous trip to St James' Park to face a Newcastle side who will be itching to make up for Tuesday's 2-2 draw against Tottenham.

The Magpies were twice pegged back by Spurs on Tyneside, letting two valuable points get away, and manager Eddie Howe will demand a defensive improvement from his troops.

Newcastle are on a seven-game unbeaten run at home - winning six and drawing one - and they will feel confident of shutting out a Burnley side who have failed to score in four of their last five league trips to St James' Park.

Tip 4 – Leeds to beat Liverpool @ 3/1

Liverpool put in another abject performance as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Sunderland on Wednesday, a result which means the Reds have won just two of their last nine league matches.

Arne Slot is failing to get a tune out of his star-studded squad and the Dutchman could be in for a rough ride when his side take on a fired-up Leeds at Elland Road on Saturday evening.

The Whites recorded a brilliant 3-1 home victory over Chelsea on Wednesday and 11 of their 14 total points have come at their West Yorkshire base, evidence of how difficult a place this is to come.

Liverpool have lost five of their last seven away assignments in all competitions and this could turn out to be another disappointment for the reigning English champions on their travels.
