ROMA VS AC MILAN TIPS: SPOILS SHARED AT THE OLIMPICO?

Two teams in the hunt for Serie A glory meet at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening when Roma take on AC Milan – and this could turn out to be a tight affair between two in-form sides.

The Giallorossi have four of their last five matches in all competitions and head into this contest having secured at least a play-off spot in the Europa League with one league phase game remaining.

Milan have had no European action to worry about this season and that appears to have aided them domestically as they are eyeing a third win in a row, following victories over Como and Lecce.

Team news

Roma are once again set to be without the injured quartet of Mario Hermoso, Angelino, Stephan El Shaarawy and Artem Dovbyk, with the latter not expected back until April.

January arrival Donyell Malen was unable to play in Thursday's Europa League win over Stuttgart, but he could be recalled to the starting XI after scoring on his debut last weekend.

Milan forward Santiago Gimenez is not due back until mid-April after undergoing ankle surgery and Alexis Saelemaekers is a doubt because of an adductor issue.

Luka Modric, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Niclas Fullkrug and Christopher Nkunku all came off the bench in the win over Lecce on Sunday and the quartet will be pushing for starts.

Tip 1 – Draw @ 21/10

Both Roma and Milan have aspirations of winning Serie A and they head into this contest in solid form, with the Giallorossi winning four of their last five league matches and AC on a six-game unbeaten run.

Gian Piero Gasperini's hosts have been strong at the Stadio Olimpico, winning seven of their 10 contests to boast the fifth-best record in the division, while they have won their last two Europa League assignments in the capital.

But the Rossoneri have excelled on their travels and they are the only team yet to taste defeat on the road, winning six and drawing four, although they have lost on their last two visits to Roma.

It's tough to pick a winner between these two and, therefore, the best play looks to be backing the draw.

A point wouldn't be the worst result for these two and it would keep the momentum going by extending the unbeaten runs of the pair.

It is also hard to see many scoring opportunities in this contest given the strong defensive records of the duo, with Roma conceding a division-low five goals at home and Milan letting in just seven on their travels.

Tip 2 – Mancini to be booked & Pulisic 1+ shot on target @ 16/5

Roma have received 40 yellows in the league and defender Gianluca Mancini has accounted for six of those.

The 29-year-old Italy international goes into challenges full-blooded and he could be in trouble with the referee again.

Mancini has been cautioned in two of his last three Serie A appearances and he also picked up a booking when these two met in November's reverse fixture.

Complete this two-leg bet builder by adding in Milan's Christian Pulisic to have at least one shot on target, something he has managed to do in his last five appearances.

The USA international has been integral to the Rossoneri's strong season and he can showcase his qualities by forcing the goalkeeper into a stop.
