Newcastle January Evening Racing Betting Tips
After a busy day of jumps action on Saturday, attention turns to Newcastle in the evening for a seven-race all-weather offering in the North East.

16:15 - Find More Big Deals At BetUK Handicap (1m4½f)
King Viktor enhanced his fine all-weather record when scoring over 1m6f at Southwell on Tuesday but he drops in trip and carries a 5lb penalty on his first start on a synthetic surface away from the Nottinghamshire venue.
Artisan Dancer for Charlie Johnston is another leading contender but IT'S A LOVE THING is going for an all-weather treble after wins at Wolverhampton (May) and Kempton (November). The hurdles winner is only 2lb higher now and should be well suited by this rise in trip.

16:45 - Stay Golden With BetMGM Safer Gambling Handicap (1m)
Plenty of these have something to prove. Mintnthat won over C&D 11 days ago but is 5lb higher for that slender success and has failed to back up in the past. WHERES THE CRUMPET was back from a short break that evening when beaten ¾-length into fourth, an improved effort from a lightly-raced maiden that had raced exclusively over further before. She has claims off the back of that.

17:15 - BetUK. It's Where The UK Bets Handicap (5f)
Gustav Graves has been in cracking form at Wolverhampton recently but he's hardly prolific overall and must show he can bring that form to this venue on first visit. Birkenhead is a former C&D winner that could go well but BLAZING HOT ran well here in October before winning at Southwell earlier this month on his next start. He wasn't in the same form back there since but that run came less than 48 hours later and can be forgiven easily.

17:45 - BetMGM: It's Showtime Handicap (7f)
POLLY THE ROCKET won over C&D earlier this month and probably found things against her since when upped to a mile in a very slowly-run race as she finished last of five in a first-time hood (left off now). The handicapper has been lenient with her and she's just 2lb higher than when beating Havana Smoke here on that penultimate start. The Profitable filly should get back on track.

18:15 - Always Gamble Responsibly With BetUK Novice Stakes (6f)
Newcomer Wedding Favour cost 95,000 gns and is noteworthy for the George Boughey team but CARGIN BHUI got off the mark three weeks ago at Wolverhampton when comfortably seeing off a useful rival in Influence (also from the Boughey team). The 7lb penalty may not stop this gelding following up now tackling 6f.

18:45 - BetUK. Home Of The Acca-Fenwa Classified Stakes (6f)
Beneficiary (first) had SECRET DAAY behind in third when scoring here earlier in the month but the latter did plenty early on when jousting for the lead. He'd gone close here over C&D earlier in the month and, now 2lb better off with his re-opposing rival, could be up to landing a race in this grade.

19:15 - Boost Your Acca-Fenwa With BetUK Apprentice Handicap (6f)
The Caltonian is positively thriving after a hat-trick of wins over 5f/6f here since Christmas. The latest of those came 11 days ago and was nothing if not straightforward in execution. There's no 3lb claim for Jonny Peate now and the 5YO has gone up 7lb in the ratings, leaving him 20lb higher than when his sequence began last month.
They should hold Zu Run again but recent winners Rock Opera and PRINCE OF ZENDA are dangers. Lots went wrong for Prince Of Zenda at Lingfield 13 days ago and he needed every yard of this 6f trip to get up. He's only 2lb higher now and with Brandon Wilkie claiming 5lb on his back, they could mow down their rivals late in the piece again.
