France vs Italy Six Nations Betting Tips
Breezing past Ireland and Wales in their opening two games of the 2026 Six Nations, it’s full steam ahead for France in their Grand Slam pursuit as they prepare to host Italy in Lille on Sunday.
Brushing aside Ireland at the Stade de France with a 36-14 on the opening night of the tournament, the French went on to beat Wales 54-12 while in second gear in Cardiff.
Next, France host an Italian side who have shown more signs of progress, following an 18-15 win over Scotland in Rome and a 20-13 loss against the Irish in Dublin.
Many predict another cakewalk for the French at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Sunday, but Italy will certainly have something to say about that.
Italy to push France hard in Lille
While France have shown no reason why they can’t make it three wins from three in the Six Nations this weekend, Italy will refuse to make this an easy task for Fabien Galthie’s side.
The Azzurri have impressed in this tournament, with a narrow victory on a flooded field against the Scots before pushing Ireland all the way at the Aviva Stadium for a losing bonus point.
Italy might well see their defeat to Ireland as an opportunity missed to pull off a major scalp in Dublin and they will be eager to put in an 80-minute performance to challenge the French this weekend.
The last time France and Italy met at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy was in 2024, and Italy let another famous win slip through their fingers as they were held to a 13-13 draw by Les Bleus.
It’s hard to see Italy getting a positive result out of this trip to Lille, but the Azzurri, with a generous +27.5 handicap, looks to be the way to go here.

Bielle-Biarrey to fly out the blocks
France will look to make another quick start on Sunday and their superstar winger Louis Bielle-Biarrey is a man to look out for in the market for first tryscorer.
A man who's hard to miss with his bright red headguard, Bielle-Biarrey has made a habit of scoring early in games this Six Nations.
Scoring the opening try in the win over Ireland, Bielle-Biarrey touched down for the second try in France’s emphatic win over the Welsh at the Principality Stadium.
France like to get the Bordeaux star involved early doors, and Bielle-Biarrey is tipped to bag the opening try on Sunday.

Another Louis can impress in Lille
While Louis Bielle-Biarrey is one to look out for, so is Louis Lynagh, who is worth considering in the anytime tryscorer market.
Lynagh has taken to Test rugby like a duck to water, scoring four tries in his first 11 appearances for Italy.
Unfortunate not to have been given a try against Ireland due to a slightly controversial forward pass in the build-up, Lynagh is backed to add to his international try tally this weekend against the French.
