Coppa Italia Final Betting Tips: Lazio vs Inter
Inter Milan are huge favourites to complete the double in Italy when they take on Lazio in the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday.
After being crowned league champions at the start of the month, Cristian Chivu's side now have the chance to win the double against opponents who look unlikely to put up much of a fight, despite the game taking place at their Stadio Olimpico home.
The two teams met in a meaningless dress rehearsal in Serie A over the weekend and Inter put down a significant marker by winning 3-0.
It could be a similar tale in the final with the Nerazzurri tipped to dominate again.
Inter to dominate again
Tip 1 – Inter Milan/Inter Milan - Half-time/Full-time @ 29/20
Inter and Lazio have met twice this season and, on both occasions, Inter have won without conceding, securing a 2-0 win at home earlier in the campaign and then 3-0 in Rome on Saturday.
Tellingly, in both games they were in front at half-time, too, and there is no reason to believe the final is going to throw up something different.
Inter have been the best side in Italy this season and can once again outclass inferior opponents in both halves.
The Scudetto winners are, unsurprisingly, the top scorers in the Italian top flight, hitting 85 goals so far, while they have tallied 10 strikes in four matches on their way to the final of this competition.
They are a well-drilled, attack-minded outfit and should be in front come the break before then going on to take total control in the second 45 minutes.
Martinez the main man in Rome
Tip 2 – Lautaro Martinez to score anytime @ 7/5
Lautaro Martinez has had his injury problems in recent weeks but he was given the chance to sharpen his fitness on Saturday when he returned to the Inter side for the first time in four games.
The Argentine ace duly delivered, bagging a goal and getting an assist in the 3-0 win, and he could be backed to score again in the final.
Martinez will want to be fit and firing for the World Cup this summer, so needs to stay sharp, and there is no better way than doing that by scoring in the Coppa Italia final.The striker has hit 21 goals in all competitions this season and is an obvious Inter goal threat in a game in which they are bound to create plenty of chances in.
Pellegrini attracting plenty of cards
Tip 3 – Luca Pellegrini to be booked @ 37/20
Lazio defender Luca Pellegrini has been a card magnet in his last few games, with the booking he collected in the 3-0 defeat against Inter the third match in his last four appearances that he has been shown a yellow.
The left-back will likely be up against Martinez and Marcus Thuram, while the pacy Denzel Dumfries will also get forward down Inter's right wing, so he should have his hands full.
The 27-year-old has the unfortunate record of being Lazio's most-booked player this season, with eight yellow cards brandished his way, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him in trouble with the officials again in midweek.
