Rogers has had a huge impact this season at Villa. He’s powerful, clinical and very composed when he needs to be. I keep forgetting he’s only 22!
BEST SIGNING: NIKOLA MILENKOVIC (NOTTINGHAM FOREST)
He’s transformed Nottingham Forest’s defence. A real goal threat too, and he’s helped propel them up the table. He’s proven to be a real bargain.
MOST IMPROVED PLAYER: CHRIS WOOD (NOTTINGHAM FOREST)
I love that he’s 33 and is having a career revival. He’s banged in the goals for Forest and has enjoyed his best season since his Burnley days.
BEST COACH: ARNE SLOT (LIVERPOOL)
Winning the Premier League in your first season is something few managers have achieved. That is more than enough to make him manager of the season, let alone the fact he headed off to Ibiza to celebrate with Wayne Lineker before the Brighton game…
BEST COACHING PERFORMANCE: NUNO ESPIRITO SANTO (NOTTINGHAM FOREST)
He’s transformed Forest from a team battling relegation to a team playing European football next season. He’s done an unbelievable job.
BIGGEST OVERACHIEVERS: NOTTINGHAM FOREST
I don’t think anyone saw their run coming.
BEST UNDERACHIEVERS: MANCHESTER CITY
They still have one of the best squads in the Premier League and all the experience of winning trophies, but there’s no getting away from the fact they severely underperformed this season, despite a raft of injuries. They could still salvage something if they secure Champions League football, but it’s been a long way below the standards they usually set.
