PARIS FC VS PSG: ENRIQUE & CO. TO CELEBRATE TITLE WITH DERBY DRUBBING

It was an uneventful end to another PSG title-winning campaign, with a straightforward win over Lens sealing a fifth Ligue 1 on the bounce.

However, before the season ends, there is still the matter of settling a Parisian rivalry.

PSG take on Paris FC in one of the most symbolic derbies in France. The match already has some added spice, with Paris FC refusing PSG the opportunity of lifting the trophy at their stadium.

Can the Champions League holders and current finalists put the cherry on top of another memorable season or will Paris FC be the David to their Goliath?

Here’s our best bets for the occasion…

Tip 1 – PSG to win to-nil @ 39/20

Aside from a crazy game in the Champions League, the newly crowned champions are still showing the defensive control that’s defined their season, conceding very few clear chances against domestic opposition. They have kept four clean sheets out of five in the league.

Paris FC have been competitive but, against a side with PSG’s depth, possession and relentless pressing, chances should be limited.

If PSG score early, they can dictate the tempo and suffocate the game, making a comfortable 2-0 or 3-0 home win a strong shout.

Tip 2 – Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to score @ 5/4

With the Champions League final coming up, Luis Enrique may be tempted to rest some of his star players.

However, if he decides to build some momentum and keep consistency, then look no further than the Georgian to score given his magical form this season.

Kvaratskhelia scored in PSG’s title-clinching win over Lens in midweek and has been one of Enrique’s most dangerous attacking outlets, thriving when cutting in from the left.

He has five goal involvements in his last five games and is unplayable when picking the ball up from deep to build a head of steam. Kvaratskhelia’s a solid pick.

Tip 3 – Over 2.5 goals by PSG @ 27/25

Across the last 10 games in all competitions, PSG average 2.2 goals per game.

Sure, a large portion of that is thanks to their absurd 5-4 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League, but this team can score plenty of goals against anyone.

With players like Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue all capable of scoring from almost anywhere on the pitch, backing PSG for three or more team goals makes plenty of appeal.
