Premier League Gameweek 14 Tips

The festive season is just around the corner and it will be hectic for the stars of the Premier League, with all sides playing six times between now and New Year's Day.

The opening round of games for December is split across three nights. There are three games on Tuesday, including Newcastle vs Tottenham, while on Wednesday six more include high-flying Sunderland travelling to face Liverpool at Anfield and leaders Arsenal welcoming Brentford to the Emirates.

Old Trafford is the scene for the final instalment on Thursday, with West Ham the visitors to face Manchester United.

We've put together four tips for a busy midweek of Premier League action.

Tip 1 – Newcastle to beat Tottenham & Both Teams to score @ 43/20

Newcastle's two most recent home Premier League wins have seen both teams finding the net and they can continue that run by accounting for a Tottenham side under increasing scrutiny.

Thomas Frank's side were booed off at half-time and full-time on Saturday night as they lost to Fulham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Home comforts are few and far between for the Europa League winners of last season, with 13 of their 18 points gained on the road. They have scored in all six away games, but Spurs have also leaked 13 goals in four games recently and that is becoming an issue.

Newcastle will sense blood and Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento could inflict wounds on Spurs down the flanks, while Nick Woltemade has scored 11 goals for club and country since September and is proving an excellent signing.

Tottenham have just one win in their last seven games in all competitions and Newcastle have momentum in this fixture, winning five of the last six Premier League meetings.

Tip 2 – Draw or Sunderland @ 21/10

Sunderland look a shade overpriced to get something at Anfield, where Liverpool have lost four of their last six games in league and cup.

Arne Slot's side got a much-needed win against West Ham on Sunday but it wasn't entirely convincing, with Cody Gakpo's strike in stoppage time finally putting the 10-man Hammers away.

The Black Cats, meanwhile, ended a run of three games without a win by overcoming the loss of two early goals as they beat Bournemouth 3-2 at the Stadium of Light.

Regis Le Bris and his side have drawn with Arsenal and Aston Villa at home and won away at Chelsea this season, taking points from three of the top four.

Liverpool's recent woes are well documented and their confidence remains fragile, so the Wearsiders may emerge from Anfield with a positive outcome.

Tip 3 – Chelsea to win to nil against Leeds @ 7/4

Chelsea certainly would have viewed their point against leaders Arsenal as a positive outcome on Sunday, given that Moises Caicedo got his marching orders in the first half.

It was a spirited effort from Enzo Maresca's team and they have kept four clean sheets in their last six Premier League games.

In that same sequence of six, Leeds have shipped an alarming 14 goals and they had failed to score in three of the five before Saturday's 3-2 defeat against Manchester City.

Leeds have won just one of their last nine Premier League games against Chelsea and Whites boss Daniel Farke has come off second-best in all three games he has overseen in the top-flight against the Blues previously.

Chelsea are going for a fourth successive away-day success in the league and the wins at Nottingham Forest, Tottenham and Burnley have all come without conceding a goal.

Tip 4 – Brighton vs Aston Villa - Both Teams to Score @ 8/13

Brighton (fifth) and Aston Villa (fourth) entered this round of games in good form. The Seagulls are unbeaten in four - with three wins - and have yet to be defeated at the Amex Stadium this season in six games.

Unai Emery's Villans, meanwhile, have put together a five-game winning streak in league and cup and have banished memories of a slow start by winning 11 of 13 games played since late September domestically and in Europe.

Albion are proving to be entertainers, with a joint-high tally of nine games from their 13 in the league seeing both teams find the back of the net, including five of six at home.

Villa have scored in six of their last seven away games across all competitions, while both teams have scored in four of the previous six competitive meetings between these sides.
