Premier League Gameweek 6 Tips: Underdogs fancied in 8/1 fourfold
Last Sunday's blockbuster clash between Manchester City and Arsenal did not disappoint as the two title contenders went blow for blow in a dramatic 2-2 draw at the Etihad.
And Pep Guardiola’s City face another test of their title credentials at Newcastle in Saturday’s early kick-off in the Premier League.
This week there are seven top-flight games on Saturday, two on Sunday and one on Monday, with the Citizens' lunchtime trip to Tyneside arguably the headline act.
Manchester City to beat Newcastle (Saturday, 12.30pm) at 4/7
Premier League champions Manchester City have a strong recent record against Newcastle, winning seven of the pair's last eight league meetings, and they could extend that dominance at St James' Park on Saturday.
Eddie Howe’s hosts have lacked fluency this term and have conceded first in four of their last five games in all competitions, including in last week's disappointing 3-1 loss at Fulham.
A slow start will certainly not cut it against the champions, who have won four of their five league games this term.
Even without injured midfield maestro Rodri, City are a formidable force and can get the better of a Newcastle side who have flattered to deceive this season.
Both teams to score in Nottingham Forest vs Fulham (Saturday, 3pm) @ 7/10
Nottingham Forest and Fulham have both enjoyed solid starts to the new campaign.
Forest are one of only four unbeaten teams and have already defeated Liverpool and drawn with Brighton on their travels.
Next up for the Tricky Trees is a home clash with a Fulham side who comfortably dispatched Newcastle 3-1 last weekend.
The Cottagers have a more balanced squad than last season and their attacking prowess has been on full display in the early weeks of the campaign.
Both teams have scored in five of Fulham’s last six games in all competitions and the goals could continue to flow on their trip to the City Ground.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s hosts can be deadly on the counter, with the pace and trickery of Callum Hudson-Odoi, Anthony Elanga and Morgan Gibbs-White complimented by clinical striker Chris Wood.
With both teams in decent knick, an entertaining affair should be in the offing in the East Midlands.
Brighton or draw double chance vs Chelsea (Saturday, 3pm) @ 27/25
Brighton are also unbeaten in the Premier League and the Seagulls could keep their undefeated record intact on Saturday's trip to Stamford Bridge.
Hosts Chelsea seized on a poor West Ham performance to win 3-0 at the London Stadium last weekend and they were fortunate to get the better of Bournemouth prior to that.
Brighton are not a side to have an off-day against, as demonstrated by their home win over Manchester United and 1-1 draw at Arsenal earlier this season.
At a shade of odds-against, the Seagulls look a nice price to pick up at least a point from their trip to the capital.
Tottenham or draw double chance vs Manchester United (Sunday, 4.30pm) @ 3/5
Manchester United’s midweek draw with FC Twente was the latest in a series of poor performances from the Red Devils.
United have already been beaten by Liverpool and Brighton this season and they may struggle against a Tottenham team who are starting to get their act together.
Spurs were back to something like their best against Brentford last weekend and Ange Postecoglou’s attacking tactics could prise apart a United team who can switch off out of possession.
