BetMGM’s Premier League 2026/27 Season Predictions

A new champion chasing history, three promoted sides looking to buck the trend again and a Golden Boot race typically dominated by one man and one man only – there’s plenty to unpack across our Premier League 2026/27 predictions.

Odds correct at time of publication but subject to change.

2026/27 Premier League Outright Winner

Arsenal enter the 2026/27 season as defending champions and heavy favourites to go back-to-back, a feat only Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola have managed to pull off in the Premier League era.

The Gunners are currently 6/5 to retain their crown under Mikel Arteta, who is now not only the longest-serving manager in the league but the only one among his peers to have actually experienced winning the Premier League as a head coach.

This doesn’t mean everyone else should pack up and go home before a ball's even been kicked, though.

There are several teams in the mix capable of mounting a serious title charge this season – some headed by managers with real pedigree and others simply hungry enough to prove they’re at the level.

A few other 2026/27 Premier League outright winner options to consider:

  • Manchester City @ 7/1: Now Guardiola-less but in no way less of a threat with the machine-like Erling Haaland leading the line. New manager Enzo Maresca has enormous shoes to fill but winning a Premier League is certainly a good start to life back in Manchester after trophy-winning spells at Leicester City and Chelsea.

  • Liverpool @ 5/1: Andoni Iraola arrives after Arne Slot's stunning fall from champions to fifth, with Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz both primed for ‘second-season’ redemption arcs now they're actually fit. A top-four finish looks like a realistic ceiling but, if those two click together, this could get interesting real fast.

  • Chelsea @ 8/1: A domestic double-winner in Germany, Xabi Alonso takes over a talented, albeit often chaotic squad with no European football to distract them – a rare advantage in a congested title race. A genuine tilt may be a year early but the ingredients (and the precedent of Antonio Conte's title-winning reset in 2016/17) are there.

  • Manchester United @ 7/1: The Red Devils saw a remarkable turnaround in the second half of last season with Michael Carrick picking up the best points-per-game in England – better than even Arsenal – after replacing Ruben Amorim. Juggling Champions League football is a factor but there always seems to be a case for them to at least be in the conversation.

All that said, Arsenal are by far the strongest side in the country at the moment and have bolstered an already solid squad with proven Premier League talent alongside a potential breakout star in Greece international Christos Tzolis.

And that’s without touching on players like Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard returning to form after suffering from a fair share of injuries last season.

Teams to be Relegated

Very few promoted sides dare to dream of anything more than a 17th or above finish – unless you’re Sunderland and Leeds last season, of course, who bucked the trend to finish seventh and 14th respectively.

As statistically one of the worst promoted teams in English football history, it should come as no surprise that Hull City are the favourites to be relegated next season at 1/4 followed by Ipswich Town and Coventry City both at 16/25.

We partly agree with the odds here in that the Tigers and Tractor Boys look set for an abrupt return to the second tier, but Coventry seem like another outlier similar to last season, carrying plenty of momentum with Frank Lampard in charge.

So, who takes that third relegation spot? The field is open and there are many teams you could mention.

Sunderland (3/1), Crystal Palace (6/1) and Bournemouth (9/1) all have Europe to contend with this season, which has caused better teams in the past to struggle. Two of those three are also under new management.

There’s also Nottingham Forest at (8/1) who are known to be highly combustible from the top down and have recently appointed Oliver Glasner, a manager known to be quite outspoken during his time as Palace boss.

The final team we think could be in the relegation conversation, though, is Fulham at 11/2 – a decent price if you’re looking solely at value potential.

The Cottagers are taking a massive punt on a relatively inexperienced manager in Alvaro Arbeloa and have lost two of their most prolific attackers in Harry Wilson and Raul Jimenez, a duo that made up 40% of goals scored for them last season.

Striker Gonzalo Garcia is a promising prospect, and someone Arbeloa knows well from his short stint at Real Madrid, but will he be enough to make up for the goals they’ve lost in outgoings?

Time will tell but, on the face of it, it’s not looking good.

Top Goalscorer

Equally as exciting to follow this year is the Premier League Golden Boot race with the usual suspects featured amongst our best odds – including one name coming off the back of a very productive summer at the World Cup.

Multiple names, multiple different claims… check out some of the frontrunners leading our Premier League top scorer odds going into the 2026/27 season:

  • Erling Haaland (Man City) @ 4/6
  • Alexander Isak (Liverpool) @ 9/1
  • Igor Thiago (Brentford) @ 11/1
  • Joao Pedro (Chelsea) @ 14/1
  • Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) @ 15/1
  • Viktor Gyokeres (Arsenal) @ 20/1
  • Benjamin Sesko (Man Utd) @ 25/1
  • Dominic Solanke (Tottenham) @ 33/1
  • Kai Havertz (Arsenal) @ 33/1
  • Antoine Semenyo (Man City) @ 33/1

While the urge to pick Haaland to win his fourth Golden Boot in only his fifth season for the Citizens is very much real, we like the idea of picking a potential outsider; someone with better odds who finds a lot of success in front of goal this season.

And if Chelsea are as serious as many are predicting this year, then Joao Pedro will certainly be one of the main contributing factors for that – as he proved last season despite all the negativity surrounding the club.

The Brazilian striker was the Blues’ player of the season behind a career-best 15 league goals and 20 in all competitions, all of which were scored from open play.

In a much more stable environment, and under the tutelage of Alonso, this could be another productive season for Pedro.

Most Assists

But of course, goalscorers are often only as effective as the team-mates assisting them – as Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes showed first-hand when breaking the Premier League assist record last season by providing an outstanding 21.

Here are the top 10 names leading our Premier League 2026/27 most assists market:

  • Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd) @ 9/4
  • Rayan Cherki (Man City) @ 7/2
  • Cole Palmer (Chelsea) @ 10/1
  • Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) @ 10/1
  • Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool) @ 12/1
  • Christos Tzolis (Arsenal) @ 14/1
  • Florian Wirtz (Liverpool) @ 14/1
  • Jeremy Doku (Man City) @ 18/1
  • Martin Odegaard (Arsenal) @ 18/1
  • Morgan Gibbs-White (Nott’m Forest) @ 25/1

There are three Arsenal players in here for a reason who are all decently priced compared to Fernandes, who may not have as many assists this season with Casemiro – his most frequent customer – now at Inter Miami.

Of the Gunners mentioned, two stand out in particular: Saka (10/1) and Tzolis (14/1).

Many forget that Saka was on course to meet the now broken Thierry Henry/Kevin De Bruyne record before picking up a major hamstring injury midway through the Gunners' 2024/25 campaign.

If the England winger is fit and firing again then he will be one to watch – not only for assists but goals too.

Tzolis is another great shout when you look at the 23 assists he recorded in 36 appearances for Club Brugge last term to help them lift their 20th league title in Belgium.

It’s an unbelievable return that he’s seemingly packed with him to north London having assisted four times in a red and white shirt already – twice in the Community Shield against City.

For that, we lean slightly more towards the Greek here.

BetMGM’s Most Assists Winner: Christos Tzolis

Golden Glove

Arsenal's David Raya is one more Golden Glove away from equalling the all-time record of four wins, jointly held by Petr Cech and Joe Hart – having just completed a hat-trick of his own (2023-24, 2024-25, 2025-26).

But, like the Gunners chances of retaining the Premier League title, the Spanish shotstopper’s chances of setting the record are not guaranteed.

There are many top-class keepers more than capable of shutting him out:

  • David Raya (Arsenal) @ 11/10
  • Gianluigi Donnarumma (Man City) @ 2/1
  • Alisson Becker (Liverpool) @ 7/2
  • Senne Lammens (Man Utd) @ 12/1
  • Robert Sanchez (Chelsea) @ 14/1
  • Emi Martinez (Aston Villa) @ 14/1
  • Antonin Kinsky (Tottenham) @ 25/1
  • Bart Verbruggen (Brighton) @ 50/1
  • Lukas Hornicek (Newcastle) @ 50/1
  • Djordje Petrovic (Bournemouth) @ 66/1

Whether or not any of them step up and do that, however, is another question in itself.

Raya typically faces far fewer shots on his goal than any other keeper in the league, thanks mostly to the defensive stability his backline and midfield provide.

And, while he still has to make saves, the numbers back up just how protected he is: across 37 Premier League appearances in 2025/26 Raya faced just 86 shots on target, barely more than two per game.

That defensive solidity showed up elsewhere too.

The 2025/26 champions denied opponents so much as a single shot on target in six separate league matches last season, the joint-most of any side in a single campaign on record since 2003/04.

Simply put: fewer shots against him means more clean sheets banked and, with a defence this well-drilled in front of him again, there's no reason to expect that formula to change.

BetMGM’s Golden Glove Winner: David Raya

PFA Player of the Year

Every year one player goes above the rest and is recognised amongst every player across all 20 teams with the PFA Player of the Year award, the biggest individual achievement someone can earn outside of some of the bigger awards such as the Ballon d'Or.

Our odds may change over the course of 38 gameweeks, but here are the top five going into the start of the season:

  • Erling Haaland (Man City) @ 4/1
  • Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd) @ 11/2
  • Declan Rice (Arsenal) @ 8/1
  • Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) @ 12/1
  • Alexander Isak (Liverpool) @ 14/1

Someone not included in that list is Rayan Cherki (14/1), whose maverick-like playing style and antics on the pitch was a complete breath of fresh air last season in a league so often restricted by rigid systems and tactics.

Glimpses were shown of what the Frenchman is capable of last season, finishing his campaign with four goals and 12 assists in 33 appearances – output he could improve upon if given more minutes.

And minutes are what he could receive with Guardiola gone alongside most of City’s midfield – leaving the door wide open for Cherki to shine – even in a team whose main star just gained hundreds of thousands of new followers this summer.

His body language after losing the Community Shield to Arsenal hinted at a more mature version of the creative midfielder.

One more than capable of winning PFA Player of the Year.

BetMGM’s PFA Player of the Year: Rayan Cherki
