FRIDAY RACING TIPS
Chester 1.30 – 1m2f Handicap
I quite like the look of El Burhan (4/1) here.
He won at this meeting last year and reappeared with a respectable fifth at Kempton six weeks ago where he didn’t get much luck in running.
His trainer has always thought a bit of him and I feel he can still be competitive off his current mark.

Chester 2.35 – Huxley Stakes
Dual-Derby winner Lambourn (6/4 fav) makes his seasonal reappearance here and, while the 1m 2f trip is probably short of his best, I do think it’s very hard to go against Ryan Moore and Aidan O’Brien at this meeting in these Group races.
They seem to win virtually every single one and Lambourn is clearly the one to beat.
I do respect Bay City Roller (11/4) but I think he’d prefer slightly softer ground and so it does look a good opportunity for Lambourn to get his head back in front again.

Chester 3.05 – Chester Cup
As ever, the Chester Cup is extremely competitive and BetMGM is paying five places each way.
Joseph O’Brien sends over three well-fancied runners but I’m quite interested in Moon Over Miami (17/2), who is still unexposed as a stayer and probably was just caught out by ground that was too soft last time at Musselburgh.
He’s 4-5 on turf and, if he can get himself in a decent spot, I can see him running quite a big race for Ralph Beckett and Hector Crouch.
If the rain does come I’d be more drawn to O’Brien’s Galileo Dame (11/2), who made a good return to the Flat when second in a Navan handicap and her hurdles form suggests she should stay this trip.

Chester 3.40 – 6f Handicap
I’m going to be with Hoodie Hoo (6/1) in this competitive handicap over six furlongs.
He made a good return at Lingfield in what was a bit of a muddling race and he’s gone particularly well at left-handed tracks, so Chester should be right up his street.
He’s got plenty going for him with that run under his belt.
