Wimbledon Outright Betting Tips
The third Grand Slam tournament of the year means the return of Wimbledon on the carefully manicured lawns at the All England Club in London.
Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are seeded one and two in the men's singles and dominate the betting.
Alcaraz has beaten Novak Djokovic in the last two Wimbledon finals and is the 13/10 favourite to land the title for a third time.
But he will anticipate a stern challenge from reigning US Open and Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner, who pushed him all the way in last month’s French Open final before sliding to a 6-4, 7-6, 4-6, 6-7, 6-7 defeat.
Another player attempting to complete a swift French Open and Wimbledon double is Coco Gauff, who is 8/1 to back up her Roland Garros triumph in the women's singles.
However, the American has some top players standing in her way, including number one seed Aryna Sabalenka, who is the 5/2 favourite to get her hands on the Venus Rosewater Dish.
Tip 1 – Novak Djokovic to win the Wimbledon men’s singles @ 13/2
Djokovic has seen Alcaraz and Sinner overtake him as the dominant forces in men’s tennis but he remains an outstanding player and could spring a surprise this summer by claiming a record-equalling eighth Wimbledon singles title.
The Serbian is rightly regarded as one of the greatest players of all time and he remains a fierce competitor at the age of 38.
Djokovic won the most recent of his 24 Grand Slam singles titles at the 2023 US Open but he has appeared in the last six Wimbledon finals and is showing signs of a return to form and fitness.
After racking up a 100th ATP Tour title by defeating Hubert Hurkacz in the Geneva Open final Djokovic advanced to the semi-finals at the French Open, where he suffered a straight-sets loss to Sinner.
The standard of his play at Roland Garros was hugely encouraging and further improvement could take place at Wimbledon, where he looks an overpriced 13/2 shot to take the trophy.
Sinner has been the most consistent player in recent slams but his record at Wimbledon hasn’t been great and he must deal with his disappointment in the French Open, where he led Alcaraz by two sets but was unable to get over the line.
Alcaraz has an unshakeable belief in his ability to win from almost any situation and warmed up for Wimbledon by winning the Queen’s Club title.
However, there were noticeable issues for Alcaraz at Queen’s, where he was taken to three sets in two of his five matches.
The Spanish player did not look at the top of his game and will need to improve or run the risk of losing his Wimbledon crown.
Tip 2 – Coco Gauff to win the Wimbledon women’s singles @ 8/1
Gauff has never gone past the fourth round in five previous visits to Wimbledon but she is playing some of the best tennis of her career and could be tough to stop over the next fortnight.
The women’s event has been hard to predict with seven different champions being crowned since Serena Williams won the last of her seven titles in 2016.
There are fitness doubts concerning defending champion Barbora Krejcikova, who was nursing a thigh injury at the Eastbourne Championships and had to withdraw from her scheduled quarter-final against Varvara Gracheva.
World number one Sabalenka is seen as the player to beat after her victories at the 2024 US Open and 2025 Australian Open.
However, Sabalenka was beaten 7-6, 2-6, 4-6 by Gauff in the French Open final and could face a tricky early test with a potential match against 2023 Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova in the third round.
Gauff seems to have landed in an easier section of the draw and should have the chance to work her way into the tournament.
The American could run into 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina in the quarter-finals but she is used to winning matches and looks overpriced to go all the way.
