UFC FIGHT NIGHT BETTING TIPS: IZZY TO END LOSING SKID IN SEATTLE
It’s make or break time at UFC Fight Night Seattle as Israel Adesanya looks to snap a three-fight losing skid against Joe Pyfer – a fast-rising contender hoping to scale the middleweight rankings with a fourth consecutive victory.
It’s a main event backed by a striking undercard featuring Alexa Grasso vs Maycee Barber 2, Julian Erosa vs Lerryan Douglas, Mansur Abdul-Malik vs Yousri Belgaroui and Terrance McKinney vs Kyle Nelson.
We’ve got tips for the main event and action throughout the card, keeping you locked in on some of our best prices come showtime.
Tip 1 – Adesanya to win by decision @ 15/8
Make no mistake about it, this main event couldn’t be bigger for the Last Stylebender.
Israel Adesanya (24-5-0) walks into Seattle on a run of poor form since reclaiming his middleweight strap against Alex Pereira at UFC 287, with a trio of defeats to Nassourdine Imavov, Dricus du Plessis and Sean Strickland following.
His once impenetrable aura of invincibility is seemingly long gone at this point… yet we’re still leaning towards the former two-time champion here.
For all of Joe Pyfer’s (15-3-0) bluster in beating Marc-Andre Barriault, Kelvin Gastelum and Abus Magomedov, he’s still yet to be tested by an elite-level striker with bags of experience.
Adesanya’s knockout power has come into question in recent fights but the rate and precision of his striking is still there, which is why we’re backing a decision victory for the Nigerian-New Zealand native.
Not fighting in over a year is likely to have an effect against the younger Pyfer early on, but experience is king at this level.

Tip 2 – Chiesa to win by submission @ 3/4
Of course, another major storyline at UFC Fight Night Seattle sees Michael Chiesa (19-7-0) face Niko Price (16-10-0) in a retirement fight in his hometown.
Chiesa was originally scheduled to fight Carlson Harris here but Price stepped in on short notice just a month and a half after being TKOd in the first round by Nikolay Veretennikov in Las Vegas.
The Maverick has won his last three fights over Court McGee, Max Griffin and Tony Ferguson – the last two via rear-naked choke submissions – while also moonlighting as a booth analyst for the promotion.
Expect plenty of grappling here with the Ultimate Fighter 15 winner looking to dictate the fight against an opponent known for his 50% takedown defence.
This won’t be a complete walkover as the Hybrid – like his nickname suggests – is still an opponent worth taking seriously that can hurt you in multiple ways but, still, it won’t stop Chiesa slapping on a trademark choke for the win.
Tip 3 – Under 1.5 rounds in Erosa vs Douglas @ 4/6
One to watch outside of the main fights if you’re looking for knockout potential is Julian Erosa versus Lerryan Douglas.
Douglas (13-5-0) is known for throwing wild yet powerful punches, as seen in the 36-second KO over Cam Teague on Contender Series that earned him a spot on the roster this past September.
Funnily enough Erosa’s (31-13-0) last KO victory also came in the first round, finishing Darren Elkins just past the four-minute mark.
So who knocks out who here? That’s the question.
Our money would be on the debuting Gunslinger if we had to choose, especially considering Erosa has been knocked out seven times in his career and the fact he turns 37 in a few months.
There’s certainly value in backing the Brazilian to get the KO at 13/20 but under 1.5 rounds at 4/6 is just as appealing if the debutant flies out of the gate as expected.
