UFC FIGHT NIGHT BETTING TIPS: A 17/2 SUBMISSION ON THE CARDS?
The UFC returns to the Apex in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada for a Fight Night headlined by Renato Moicano vs Chris Duncan, with support from Virna Jandiroba vs Tabatha Ricci in the co-main.
Will UFC Vegas 115 top last week’s stellar Seattle show?
Only time will tell but we’ve lined up three hard-hitting tips for you to consider all the same...
Tip 1 – Chris Duncan to win by submission @ 17/2
For all his strengths and scalps Renato Moicano (20-7-1) is yet to put his title loss to Islam Makhachev at UFC 311 behind him, having followed that up with a decision loss to Beneil Dariush almost a year ago. Chris Duncan (15-2-0) is a different story.
The Scottish fighter is on a career-high run at the moment with four wins in his last four; three courtesy of his signature guillotine choke – one of the many different chokes he’s showcased in the promotion since arriving on the scene.
How fast and how tight ‘the Problem’ can lock in one of his patented submissions will be a problem for Moicano, who will be very much aware of the Scot’s submission skills having lost that aforementioned title fight to a choke in the first round.
Does Duncan have the ability to end it just as quickly? He sure does, after tapping out Terrance McKinney with an anaconda choke in less than three minutes last time out.
The experience of Moicano should hold him off on the first few attempts but, if he’s serious about competing at this level, then getting the 10th-best lightweight in the division to tap out or pass out is definitely one way of showing it.

Tip 2 – Virna Jandiroba vs Tabatha Ricci decided via decision @ 1/4
The co-main stars a reeling Virna Jandiroba (22-4-0) – off the back of an uninspiring loss to Mackenzie Dern – against the younger Tabatha Ricci (12-3-0), who is looking to climb the rankings after smashing Amanda Ribas’s orbital bone to win by TKO last July.
We’ve got a feeling this will be one of those fights where neither fighter pushes the other enough to stress-test the true extent of their grappling abilities.
In which case expect the fight to devolve into a slow and steady kickboxing match as both look for windows to score easy points – especially towards the latter stages of this contest when adrenaline takes over.
Ricci will definitely have the advantage if this does break out into a straight-up striking match – just ask Ribas – but take nothing away from ‘Carcara’, who should possess the tools to hold her own in these exchanges.
We’re saying this goes the distance, which at 1/4 is not a bad shout for a fight that could swing either way when it’s all said and done.
Tip 3 – Tommy McMillen vs Manolo Zecchini under 1.5 rounds @ 4/7
If there’s anyone who can compete with Duncan on the submission front in Las Vegas, it’s the undefeated Tommy McMillen (9-0-0).
The Arizona native is primed to make his proper UFC debut on Saturday, fresh off a majority decision victory over David Mgoyan on Dana White’s Contender Series that earned him this opportunity at the big time.
McMillen’s signature move? A devastating front choke, often set up by live-wire grappling that’s as aggressive as it is relentless.
His opponent is a fighter who hasn’t stepped foot in the octagon since 2023 in Manolo Zecchini (11-4-0) – someone who has only fought once in the UFC, losing to Morgan Charriere courtesy of some nasty body kicks.
Make no mistake about it, this is a fight set up for ‘Gun’ to shoot his shot and show what he’s about against the rustier Zecchini – as our bout odds suggest, with McMillen leading the way as favourite by a significant margin.
Simply put: this won’t last long if McMillen is switched on with that front choke locked and loaded.
