UFC Vegas 113 Betting Tips: 16/1 Acca to Light Up The Strip

UFC Vegas 113 returns to the entertainment capital of the world for another action-packed fight card headlined by Mario Bautista vs Vinicius Oliveira in what should be a frenetic clash in the bantamweight division.

This will be the first APEX show of a new era, making it the perfect stage for any one of these fighters to have their name up in lights, so expect fireworks throughout the main card and prelims.

How do we see the action playing out in a city we know all too well, Las Vegas?

We’ll let our 16/1 Acca do all the talking…

Leg 1 – Bautista vs Oliveira to go the distance @ 23/20

Talk about a battle between two dark horses.

Mario Bautista (16-3-0) and Vinicius Oliveira (23-2-0) look set to put on an absolute clinic this Sunday in the main event. Who rises to the top is very much open to who wants it more.

For Bautista, this will be an emotional return following his first defeat in nearly five years, one he will look to command and control from the outset as a slick striker with an impeccable ground game.

‘Lok Dog’, on the other hand, is a different type of animal; a kill-or-be-killed finisher boasting double-digit KO victories, perfectly summed up by the brutal stoppage over Victor Madrigal on the Contender Series that earned him a spot on the UFC roster.

While the Brazilian hasn’t scored another lights-out finish in some time he’s still in excellent form with decision victories over Ricky Simon, Umar Nurmagomedov and Kyler Phillips.

Know who else has been a decision fighter for most of his UFC career? You guessed it, it’s Bautista, whose last five fights have all gone the distance over three rounds.

It’s a toss-up who gets their arm raised in this one but, if there’s one thing we’re certain of, it’s that this fight will be decided by the judges – which you can also back on its own at 23/20.

Leg 2 – Kyoji Horiguchi to win by submission @ 27/5

What we are feeling sure of in the co-main event is a submission victory for one of the most decorated mixed martial artists at 125lbs in Kyoji Horiguchi (35-5-0).

The ‘Karate Kid’ is the former Rizin and Bellator flyweight and bantamweight champion who made his triumphant return to the promotion last year, much to the admiration of fight fans around the world.

He may be 35, and leaning more towards the end of his career than the start of it, but what he showed in his last performance against Tagir Ulanbekov needs to be remembered because it’s likely to repeat itself against his UFC Vegas 113 opponent.

The Japanese veteran faces the sixth-best flyweight in the division in Amir Albazi (17-2-0) – a ranking many have argued against given the matchups presented to the Iranian.

Put it this way: there’s a reason Horiguchi is the favourite here.

His all-round game is as technically sound as it gets, capable of beating opponents on the floor and on their feet; whatever he feels like doing at any given moment, even up against younger, larger opponents.

‘The Prince’ should be able to take a few shots here and still stay upright, but so too did Ulanbekov before Horiguchi wore him down for the submission win.

The same thing feels likely to happen again in Vegas.

Leg 3 – KO, TKO or DQ to decide Oleksiejczuk vs Barriault @ 1/4

Don’t sleep on the fourth fight on the main card because someone will most definitely be taking a nap in this firefight between two of the most experienced bomb-throwers in the middleweight division.

We’re of course talking about Michal Oleksiejczuk (21-9-0) vs Marc-Andre Barriault (17-10-0), a fight that is clearly designed to get the best out of these 30+ fighters, which involves throwing hands as hard as humanly possible.

Where Oleksiejczuk has won his last two fights in the first round by knockout, Barriault has suffered two knockout losses in his last four fights – the sort of cracks that can turn into gaping holes if hammered enough.

But there is some hope for ‘Powerbar’ even at 35 years old, who has proven time and time again that he can thrive in close-range chaos if given the chance, as he proved against Bruno Silva at UFC 315 just last year.

He finished Silva within 90 seconds with a series of elbows, which Barriault will want nothing to do with given the amount of heavy shots he’s also taken throughout his career.

Expect this to be an all-out war with at least one fighter getting another knockout loss on their record to round out our UFC Fight Night Acca.
