Nico de Boinville will look to continue his incredibly profitable relationship with trainer Nicky Henderson at the greatest show on turf in 2025.

One of the most exciting De Boinville rides is undoubtedly Constitution Hill in the Champion Hurdle, who returns to the race after missing out last year due to a respiratory condition.

The undefeated hurdler is widely considered one of the best of all time. At Cheltenham, he will have a chance to solidify that status.

Despite suffering a blunder at the last, the resolute superstar still found a way to coast to victory in the International Hurdle back in January to maintain his perfect record. He is now 10 wins from 10 over hurdles.

Of the British jumps jockeys currently active, De Boinville’s record is scintillating; he has the most Grade One winners and is simply a titan of the sport.

The experienced jockey is approaching 4,000 career rides across all formats. At the time of writing, he has a strike rate of 21%.

With 48 wins this season, he is some way off this season’s British Champion Jockey award – the current leader is Sean Bowen with 141 wins – but given his injury issues at the beginning of last year it’s unsurprising to see him fall down the pack a little.

De Boinville is, however, still one of the most experienced individuals in this arena and his record speaks for itself ahead of his latest tilt at the Cheltenham Festival.

You only have to examine who Nico de Boinville has boarded to victory to understand the prestige in which he is held at Cheltenham.

As part of his 16 victories at the festival, De Boinville can count genuine modern-day legends in Altior, Shiskin, Sprinter Sacre and Might Bite as some of those he has cajoled to glory.

In 2019, he was the top jockey at the Cheltenham Festival with three wins. However, his ride on Coneygree in 2015 remains his only Gold Cup victory.

His most successful races are the BetMGM Queen Mother Champion Chase and the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle – he has won three of each.
