NFL Week 12 Tips
It's already crunch time for a lot of teams in the NFL as Week 12 arrives with many needing wins to stay in realistic contention for the playoffs.
With four teams on their bye week, there are 14 games to enjoy across the weekend, including an enticing AFC clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Indianapolis Colts.
We’ve picked out our four favourite bets in our Week 12 tips, including one for the NFC match-up between the Los Angeles Rams and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night.
TIP 1 - NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS -8 - 9/10
Cincinnati Bengals vs New England Patriots (Sunday, 6pm GMT)
Cincinnati Bengals fans were delighted to see Joe Burrow return to practice last week but the team won't rush their starting quarterback back into harm's way, especially as their record is now 3-7 and their playoff chances slim.
That's bad news going into their home game against the in-form New England Patriots, as Joe Flacco, who has started the last five games and managed to pick up one win, aggravated a shoulder injury in last week's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Whether he plays through the problem or back-up Jake Browning is brought back into action, the Bengals should struggle against a strong defence.
The Patriots have won eight games in a row and with half of those coming by margins of 13 points or more, they should be capable of winning by at least nine against the Bengals, who have the worst defence in the league.
Remember: BetMGM is paying out early when your team takes a 17-point lead, regardless of the final result. More information can be found here.
TIP 2 - UNDER 36.5 POINTS - 9/10
Las Vegas Raiders vs Cleveland Browns (Sunday, 9.05pm GMT)
Two struggling offences clash in Las Vegas on Sunday and points could be thin on the ground when the Las Vegas Raiders host the Cleveland Browns.
The Raiders (2-8) have lost eight of their last nine games and have scored only 23 points across their last two, even though they were facing the susceptible defence of the Dallas Cowboys last week.
The Browns are also 2-8 and could be on their third starting quarterback of the season after rookie Dillon Gabriel sustained a concussion in their loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
That could mean a first start for fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders, who looked out of his depth in the second half against the Ravens, completing only four of his 16 pass attempts.
With Maxx Crosby (Raiders) and Myles Garrett (Browns) leading the respective pass-rushes for their teams, defences may be more of a threat to score points than offences in this game.
TIP 3 - ATLANTA FALCONS +1.5 - 10/11
New Orleans Saints vs Atlanta Falcons (Sunday, 9.25pm GMT)
The Saints will have gone into their bye last week in better spirits after picking up only their second win of the season against the Carolina Panthers in Week 10, but they still look worth taking on when they return to host their NFC South rivals the Atlanta Falcons.
The home side are 2-8 and hoping for better things after rookie QB Tyler Shough got his first career win in his second start.
The Falcons are 3-7 and on a three-game losing streak but they have put in some decent efforts with their last three losses coming by only one, three and six points. They really should have beaten the Panthers last week but, having led 21-7, they slipped to a 30-27 overtime loss.
The Saints should be more beatable having lost four of their five home games and the Falcons appeal more as the underdogs.
TIP 4 - LOS ANGELES RAMS -6.5 - 17/20
Los Angeles Rams vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Monday, 1.20am GMT)
Tampa Bay's games are usually well worth watching but they have come up short when facing some strong opposition recently and the same could happen again when they visit the Los Angeles Rams.
The Buccaneers have lost to the Lions, Patriots and Bills, either side of a win over the struggling Saints, and they could have a tough time against an 8-2 Rams team who have won five in a row.
Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield had a brief spell with the Rams in 2022 before moving to Florida but he may not be looking forward to returning to California given the home side's tough defence.
The Rams have conceded the second-fewest points in the league this season and they are 4-1 at home.
