NFL Week 2 Tips
Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season produced some great performances and fantastic finishes and the teams are right back at it this week with all 32 teams in Week 2 action from Thursday night's huge NFC clash between the Commanders and Packers through to a Monday night double-header.
We’ve included both Monday games in our Week 2 tips, as well as a total points bet for a clash in New York that could be a high-scoring spectacle.
TIP 1 - San Francisco 49ers -4.5 - 11/10
New Orleans Saints vs San Francisco 49ers (Sunday, 6pm BST)
The San Francisco 49ers took their time to get going in their Week 1 game, but they came through to claim a valuable 17-13 win over their NFC West rivals the Seattle Seahawks on the road.
Kyle Shanahan's team overcame a lack of available wide receivers as quarterback Brock Purdy threw touchdown passes to tight ends George Kittle and Jake Tonges, and they should relish what looks a much easier assignment in New Orleans.
The Saints are expected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this season after going just 5-12 last year and they were beaten 20-13 at home by the Arizona Cardinals in their opening contest.
That was the seventh defeat in seven NFL starts for Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler and the Saints looked a poorly coached team as they picked up 13 penalties in the game for 89 yards.
TIP 2 - Over 45.5 points in New York Jets vs Buffalo Bills - 22/25
New York Jets vs Buffalo Bills (Sunday, 6pm BST)
The Jets and Bills were involved in the two highest-scoring games of Week 1 and they can showcase their offensive talent again when they meet at MetLife Stadium.
The Bills shared 81 points with fellow AFC Super Bowl contenders the Ravens, winning a classic 41-40 after trailing by 15 points in the fourth quarter, and QB Josh Allen's connection with wide receiver Keon Coleman, who had 112 receiving yards against Baltimore, could be extremely fruitful this season.
The Jets played a full part in another exciting encounter against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but lost 34-32 after allowing their former quarterback Aaron Rodgers to throw four touchdown passes on his debut for his new team.
The Jets' young offensive talent including wide receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall offers plenty of hope for the rest of the season and they can contribute to another high points total.
TIP 3 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers +2.5 - 19/20
Houston Texans vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Monday night, midnight BST)
The Texans and Buccaneers might easily have both been heading into Week 2 at 0-1 but Tampa Bay pulled out a 23-20 win over the Falcons and they look capable of following up with another solid away performance in Houston.
Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield has a great set of wide receivers to target now impressive rookie Emeka Egbuka has been added to a talented squad and Houston could struggle to keep pace with the road team.
The Texans failed to score a touchdown in their 14-9 defeat by the Los Angeles Rams as none of their players had more than 32 receiving yards and they have plenty to prove.
TIP 4 - Los Angeles Chargers -3.5 - 23/25
Los Angeles Chargers vs Las Vegas Raiders (Tuesday, 3am BST)
There's a late kick-off for the second Monday night game, which is an AFC West derby between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Chargers looked a complete team when they deservedly upset division champions the Kansas City Chiefs 27-21 in Brazil in Week 1 and, while that was a long trip, they have had two extra days to prepare for this contest than the Raiders, who played on Sunday.
Quarterback Geno Smith impressed on his debut for Las Vegas after leaving the Seahawks but the home side should find this a much tougher test than they had in their 20-13 win over New England.
