CHAMPIONS LEAGUE MD4 TIPS: AN INSTANT-CLASSIC IN PARIS
The Champions League table is taking shape as we reach the midway point of the league phase with plenty still to play for.
Settle in for another thrilling round of fixtures with our Matchday 4 betting tips.
Tip 1 – Arsenal to win to nil vs Slavia Prague @ 22/25
Arsenal are in commanding form across all competitions at the moment.
They’ve conceded just three goals in the Premier League and, along with Inter, are the only side to win their first three Champions League games without letting one in.
Next up: a trip across Europe against a Slavia Prague side yet to really impress, having drawn twice and lost 3-0 to Inter on Matchday 2 – a game that could easily preview what’s to come given the Gunners just thrashed Atletico Madrid 4-0 last time out.
A clean sheet is a win in itself for the North Londoners; that alone should tell you everything you need to know ahead of Tuesday’s early kick-off.
The home side will be lucky to land a single shot on target here, which bodes very well if you’re backing Mikel Arteta and co. to win to nil at 22/25.
Tip 2 – Both teams to score & over 2.5 goals in PSG vs Bayern Munich @ 7/20
Two giants collide in what could be the tie of the round. PSG and Bayern Munich enter Matchday 4 level on points, goal difference, and both boasting perfect records to sit first and second respectively.
They’ve scored 25 goals between them so far, which should come as no surprise given the wealth of attacking talent both have at their disposal, and the experience both possess at this point.
The Parisians have spread their goals around, while Bayern have mostly leaned on the ever-prolific Harry Kane, who makes up the lion’s share of their haul with five goals.
Luis Enrique’s side have passed their first test in a 2-1 win against Barcelona already, but the Bavarians are on a 15-game winning run in all competitions…
Expect entertainment; expect goals in what has all the markings of an instant classic in Paris.
Tip 3 – Erling Haaland over 2.5 shots on target vs Borussia Dortmund @ 29/20
Every time you think Erling Haaland’s peaked, he upgrades.
The Norwegian striker is tied with Kylian Mbappe for most goals (13) and most shots on target (25) across Europe’s top five leagues – stats that grow by the game given the constant service he’s receiving from a revitalised Man City midfield.
He’s up against his former side on Wednesday in Borussia Dortmund – a side yet to taste defeat in Europe with a draw and two back-to-back wins against Athletic Club and FC Copenhagen.
Unfortunately for the Black and Yellow, Haaland will show no mercy, like in 2022 when he scored one of the most acrobatic goals this competition has ever seen against the very same Dortmund.
Haaland is currently operating at four attempts per game in Europe, which sets him up perfectly at 29/20 to have over 2.5 shots on target.
