England vs Finland Predictions: Three Lions Can Ease to Victory

Lee Carsley's first match as England's interim manager finished in a 2-0 win over Ireland on Saturday and he will be looking to follow up with another victory in his first match in charge at Wembley against Finland on Tuesday.

While the Three Lions made a winning start to their UEFA Nations League campaign, Finland find themselves on the back foot after a chastening 3-0 defeat to Greece on Saturday.

Team news

There is every chance Lee Carsley could stick with the same team which beat Ireland with Harry Kane, who will make his 100th appearance, likely to be joined by Jack Grealish, Anthony Gordon and Bukayo Saka in attack.

The likes of Eberechi Eze, Conor Gallagher and Noni Madueke, meanwhile, will be pushing to feature.

Vice captain Rasmus Schuller was forced off with a leg injury in Finalnd’s defeat to Greece and is a doubt as is fellow midfielder Kaan Karinen.

England -2 goals on 3-Way Handicap (starts 0-2) @ 27/20

Whether or not head coach Carsley gets the England job on a permanent basis remains to be seen, but he could not have asked for a better start to his tenure.

Goals from Declan Rice and Jack Grealish - who were booed by fans at the Aviva Stadium for their decisions to switch allegiances from Ireland to England - secured a comfortable win for the visitors.

And in truth, it could have been an even more one-sided scoreline.

Carsley did not hold back in his first match in charge with Kane, Saka, Gordon and Grealish all playing from the off, while attack-minded full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold was also handed a start.

Not only did England see 77 percent of the ball but they also won the shot count 16-6 and recorded nine of those on target.

And their upcoming opponents Finland look similarly permeable, having lost 3-0 to a Greece team sat 54th in the FIFA world rankings.

Ace Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky's howler allowed Greece to draw first blood but Finland did not really show a lot of promise in response, managing just a solitary shot on target.

Finland have conceded at least two goals in four of their last five matches and they have conceded in each of their last six contests, including against minnows San Marino last November.

Their defence could struggle to handle a red-hot England attack and the hosts are worth backing to win this match by at least three goals - in other words, they should be backed at -2 goals on the handicap.

Anthony Gordon to score at anytime @ 21/10

One player who will be looking to impress Carsley by capitalising on the leaky Finland defence is Newcastle forward Gordon.

Gordon has been on the fringes of the England starting lineup for a little while now and he was among the most lively in the 2-0 win over Ireland, managing three shots, all of which were on target, as well as two key passes.

He should again be unleashed from the start in this match and, having already opened his account in the Premier League this season, he is worth a bet to find the net.
