Premier League: Gameweek 31 Betting Tips

It is Gameweek 31 of the 2025-26 Premier League season with eight fixtures played across the weekend.

There are a number of standout wagers in the top flight this week and we have four bets to consider.

Tip 1 - Chelsea to beat Everton @ 21/20

Chelsea have had to endure home defeats to Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain in the last week, but a trip to Everton represents a good opportunity for Liam Rosenior's team to bounce back and enhance their chances of a top-four finish in the Premier League.

The Blues lost 1-0 to the Magpies having won the shot count 22-7 and their Champions League task against PSG was pretty hopeless after a 5-2 first leg defeat and the concession of two early goals in the return, so a line can be easily drawn through that one.

What should offer them some encouragement is the 4-1 success at Aston Villa in their last away league game against the team occupying the all-important fourth spot.

They have lost two of their last eight league games on the road and that should encourage them for their trip to Everton, who have had problems getting to grips with life in their new home at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The Toffees' only win in their last eight in their sparkling stadium came against lowly Burnley and with 18 goals in 15 league outings at the HDS, David Moyes's side look vulnerable.

Tip 2 - Brentford to beat Leeds @ 39/20

Five games without a win and three without a goal have pushed Leeds back into relegation trouble just when they thought they could see the light at the end of the tunnel and their situation could be worse after Brentford visit on Saturday night.

The Whites find themselves three points off the bottom three and they could find life difficult against the Bees who, despite pre-season fears that they would struggle, are on the verge of securing European football for next season under Keith Andrews.

He will have been disappointed to have seen his team squander a two-goal lead in their home game against bottom-of-the-table Wolves on Monday, but they have lost just one of their last seven games.

That run has included victories at Aston Villa, Newcastle and Burnley, so a trip to Elland Road should hold few fears for the Londoners.

Tip 3 - West Ham draw no bet vs Aston Villa @ 17/10

Defeats to Wolves, Chelsea and Manchester United mean Aston Villa are clinging on to fourth spot by their fingernails and they may be unable to strengthen their position when they receive a visit from resurgent West Ham.

There was a time not long ago when home defeats were rare for Villa, but they have won just one of their last five at their Birmingham base, and that came from a late own goal giving them a 1-0 success over Brighton.

A home match against the Hammers could be a tricky assignment as the Londoners have shown great fight in their last couple of months and given themselves a great chance of avoiding the drop.

Their only defeat in their last six games came at Liverpool and they are becoming good at grinding out results and, with recent 1-1 draws against the two Manchester clubs, they are worth backing in the draw-no-bet market.

Tip 4 - Tottenham to beat Nottingham Forest @ 13/10

Tottenham have had a season to forget after the joy of winning the Europa League in May but, while they are still in the thick of the relegation dogfight, things are looking a lot better than they did a week ago.

Igor Tudor's side showed great tenacity to earn a 1-1 draw at Liverpool last week and they then beat Atletico Madrid 3-2 at home in the Champions League on Wednesday, even though that was not enough to secure their passage to the quarter-finals.

They face a huge game against Nottingham Forest and they can claim what would be only their third home league success of the campaign.

The Tricky Trees are winless in their last ten games and will have a day's less recovery following their Europa League date with Midtjylland, so Spurs can earn themselves a bit more breathing space at the bottom.
