Women's Euro 2025 Betting Tips

England Women’s football team was the toast of the nation three years ago when they won the Euros for the first time, but Sarina Wiegman’s side face a tough task as they head to Switzerland to defend their title in July.

The Lionesses are second in the betting behind World Cup winners Spain, but they face a difficult group as they have to fight their way past both France and the Netherlands, as well as Wales, to get through to the knockout stages.

With Germany, who were beaten that memorable Sunday afternoon at Wembley, hungry to go one better, it promises to be an open and intriguing tournament that will draw to a close with the final in Basel on 27th July.

Here are best tips for the tournament, which starts on Wednesday 2nd July.

Tip 1 – Spain to win the Women’s Euros @ 2/1

It is not just the toughness of their group draw that points towards difficulties for England in their quest for a repeat success, as Wiegman has been rocked by some surprise retirements in the build-up to the tournament.

Goalkeeper Mary Earps, central defender Millie Bright and forward Fran Kirby have all hung up their international boots and it would not be a huge surprise if it took the Lionesses time to get into the tournament.

Spain are 2/1 favourites to add the European crown to their successes at the World Cup and the most recent Nations League, and there still appears to be some value in backing them at that price.

Their group of Portugal, Italy and Belgium looks to represent a more straightforward assignment and while Barcelona suffered a surprise defeat to Arsenal in the final of the Champions League, their quartet of Aitana Bonmati, Alexia Putellas, Salma Paralluelo and Claudia Pina can all help inspire Spain to victory.

Admittedly, they have kept just one clean sheet in their last 13 games, but this is a squad that are used to winning big trophies and know exactly what is required for success.

Tip 2 – Sweden to win the Women’s Euros @ 14/1

Germany head into the tournament having scored 24 goals in their last five matches and will fancy their chances of going one better after their extra-time Wembley heartache of three years ago, but it could be their Group C rivals Sweden who represent the better value in the outright market.

The top teams in the tournament look strongly matched, but it is possible that the Swedes have come in under the radar after losing just two of their last 18 matches.

That run includes a 6-1 win over Denmark, who are in the same section here, and there looks a strong chance that they can enjoy a memorable month, especially as they have reached the semi-finals on eight occasions since their only win in the competition in 1984.

Tip 3 – Norway to win Women’s Euros Group A @ 9/10

There are four groups in the competition, each consisting of four teams, and the section bet that makes the greatest appeal is to go for Norway to get the better of hosts Switzerland, Finland and Iceland in Group A.

The pressure will be on the Swiss to make a big impression and they look likely to go through, with Finland and Iceland expected to struggle, but Norway deserve to be 9/10 favourites to come out on top of the section.

They have to make up for lost time after the embarrassment of an 8-0 defeat to England in the group stage of the last Euros and they have former Ballon d’Or winner Ada Hegerberg, back in the fold after a falling out with the Norwegian authorities over their treatment of the women’s game, which kept her out of international action for five years.

She should be ably supported by Barcelona’s Caroline Graham Hansen and Women’s Super League stars Guro Reiten, Frida Maanum and Elisabeth Terland, which is a talent pool their three Group A rivals can only dream of.
