Arnold Palmer Invitational Betting Tips

Two-time winner Scottie Scheffler and 2018 champion Rory McIlroy head a star-studded field assembling at Bay Hill in Florida for this year's Arnold Palmer Championship.

It's a signature event - a third in four weeks - which means an elite field tackling the 7,381-yard layout, one of the most demanding tests of accuracy on the PGA Tour.

World No.1 Scheffler is the clear 16/5 favourite, though doubtless many punters will reckon he is worth taking on after a mixed start to 2026.

Tip 1 – Collin Morikawa each-way @ 25/1

Collin Morikawa returns to Bay Hill with business to finish and he's in the form to do it. Twelve months ago, the two-time major winner had the winner's red jacket all but on his shoulders, leading by three with just a handful of holes to play.

A bogey at the par-three 14th opened the door for Russell Henley, who barged right through, helped by a fortunate eagle at 16, to win by a stroke.

It seemed almost the tale of Morikawa's recent career, yet another near-miss, though that has changed for the better, and changed very recently.

Morikawa's 28-month winless streak came to an end last month at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am where he shot a joint-record 22 under par to pip Min Woo Lee and Sepp Straka by a shot.

Boosted by that, he can return to a course at Bay Hill that ought to suit him down to the ground, requiring laser accuracy off the tee and tidy approach play. He led the field in driving accuracy last year, hence his solid run for the title.

In a field where there is definitely a case to be made against Scottie Scheffler, who has recorded 3-4-12 finishes after winning the American Express, Morikawa merits a spot on anyone's shortlist.

Tip 2 – Harris English each-way @ 33/1

There is a strong international field at Bay Hill where Ryder Cup stars Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Shane Lowry are all in great form, albeit Lowry has a mini-collapse at Sunday's Cognizant to erase from his memory banks.

The preference, though, is for a trio of Americans, with Harris English the next cab off the rank. English hits it straight and solid, never bad attributes around Bay Hill, and five top-28 finishes in 2026 (but no top 20s) show a level of consistency that he can build on.

A Tour winner last year alongside second-placed finishes in two majors, the world No.15 will always be a player to consider these days.

He has had several good runs at Bay Hill, which is a course he loves and where his strokes gained approach shots is only fractions adrift of Morikawa and Scheffler, two of the most unerring strikers in the game.

Tip 3 – Pierceson Coody each-way @ 60/1

Finally, consider Pierceson Coody to outrun odds that look generous given his form.

Up to 47th in the world, Coody has teed it up six times in 2026 already and has five top-20s, including a T2 at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Coody is 15th on the SG metric with a 68-67 finish at the Genesis on his last outing to build on.

The 26-year-old is a rising star of the game, a long hitter, a birdie machine and his round four average this year of 67.33 shows he can bring his 'A' game when the money's on the line on Sundays.
