Women's US Open Tips

US Women's Open Golf Betting Tips

All eyes will be on Erin Hills in Wisconsin for this week's US Women's Open as the world's leading players battle it out for The Harton S. Semple Trophy.

Japan's Yuka Saso claimed the spoils last year, adding to her triumph in 2021, and she is 150/1 to become the first player since Karrie Webb in 2001 to successfully retain the title.

Saso's compatriot, Mao Saigo won the first women's Major of the season at the Chevron Championship in April and she can be backed at 45/1 to come out on top again.

TIP 1 - HAERAN RYU EACH WAY @ 12/1

Erin Hills is as much a physically demanding course as it is a mental one, with the hilly terrain and both blind and semi-blind shots making this a true test, but one player who looks capable of navigating her way around is Haeran Ryu.

The 24-year-old joined the LPGA Tour in 2023 and she has picked up a win each year, breaking her duck at the Arkansas Championship before adding the 2024 FM Championship and the 2025 Black Desert Championship to her collection.

Ryu was tied-sixth at the Chevron Championship, her fifth top 10 finish in a Major, and her strong approach play that has her ranked third in strokes gained can help her contend this week.

The South Korean ranks highly in nearly every strokes gained department, as she is unrivalled in tee-to-green, third in off-the-tee, seventh in total and 20th around-the-green, with the only blot being her putting.

However, the flat stick has warmed up enough this season to deliver a victory and if she enjoys a solid week on the greens, then a first Major could be coming her way.

TIP 2 - RIO TAKEDA EACH WAY @ 28/1

Japan claimed the women's US Open last year with Saso and it could turn out to be another victorious week for the Land of the Rising Sun, with Rio Takeda primed to make her Major breakthrough.

The 22-year-old won an incredible seven times on the LPGA of Japan Tour in 2024 before making her mark on the LPGA circuit with victory at the Toto Japan Classic.

Takeda joined the LPGA Tour this year and she has wasted little time in landing her second title at this level, winning the Blue Bay LPGA by a resounding six strokes in March.

Ranking in the top 10 for strokes gained total, tee-to-green and approach, the Japanese ace looks to have the tools required to contend this week.

TIP 3 - LYDIA KO EACH WAY @ 25/1

Lydia Ko has the chance to make history this week, as a victory would see her become just the eighth female player to have completed the Grand Slam, and the signs this season suggest that may just happen.

The 28-year-old New Zealander, who won gold at the 2024 Olympics, landed her 23rd LPGA Tour title at the HSBC Women's World Championship in March this year.

Ko has come close to winning the US Open a couple of times, posting a T3 in 2016 and fifth in 2022, and she heads into this edition following a confidence-boosting tied-11th finish at the Mizuho Americas Open.
