Zurich Classic of New Orleans Betting Tips
Following Matt Fitzpatrick's playoff victory at the RBC Heritage on Sunday, the Sheffield star will be teaming up with his brother Alex at this week's Zurich Classic Of New Orleans, the only pairs event on the PGA Tour calendar.
A total of 74 couples will be fighting it out for glory in Louisiana with Shane Lowry accompanying Brooks Koepka after playing with Rory McIlroy for the last two years.
Last year's winners Ben Griffin and Andrew Novak are back aiming to make the first successful defence of the trophy since it became a team event in 2017.
Brothers are in top form
Tip 1 – Matt Fitzpatrick & Alex Fitzpatrick @ 10/1
One of the essential elements of a successful Zurich Classic of New Orleans team is that chemistry can be created between the two players and the Fitzpatrick brothers clearly have an advantage in that department.
And when you add the superb form Matthew and Alex have been in then we could have found the perfect recipe for Louisiana success.
Matt's confidence could hardly be higher after he claimed the RBC Heritage on Sunday, especially as he was able to see off world number one Scottie Scheffler in a Harbour Town Links playoff.
The success came after victory at the Valspar Championship and a second place at the Players, so the stage could be set for another week to remember.
Alex plays on the DP World Tour and makes a rare Stateside appearance, but his form has been excellent too.
A sixth place at the Joburg Open in South Africa at the beginning of last month was followed by a two-shot win at the Indian Open, so he should be buzzing as well.
The pressure of expectation will be there, but at least it will be shared between the pair and that could help push both towards another memorable performance.
College friends can shine together
Tip 2 – Michael Thorbjornsen & Karl Vilips @ 18/1
Another pair who are very familiar with each other are Michael Thorbjornsen and Karl Vilips, who lived together while they were studying at Stanford University.
Both 24-year-olds are making a big impression on the PGA Tour with Thorbjornsen having claimed six top-four finishes while Vilips beat his friend to the winner's circle by winning last year's Puerto Rico Open.
The pair were 33rd at the Heritage with Thorbjornsen producing an eye-catching final round of 65, and they should be able to build upon their showing last year when they finished fourth.
Don't be surprised if the youngsters play their way into contention once again.
Clark putting together some decent results
Tip 3 – Wyndham Clark & Taylor Moore @ 22/1
Wyndham Clark has not had an easy time since he won the US Open in 2023, but there have been some encouraging signs in the last couple of weeks and he could be going into this week's competition under the radar.
Clark had his moments as he claimed 23rd spot at The Masters and he built upon that with 16th at Hilton Head last week, so things might just be coming together for the man who was third in this tournament with Beau Hossler three years ago.
He plays alongside Taylor Moore this year, who has not had a great deal to crow about in 2026, but was second to Nico Echavarria at the Cognizant Classic at the beginning of last month.
Moore has finished fourth twice in this tournament and it could be that these two bring out the best in each other.
