Tip 1 – Song vs Figueiredo to go the distance @ 23/20

Song Yadong (22-9-1, 1 NC) enters his home nation of China as the clear-cut favourite in his fourth Fight Night main event for more reasons than one.

His beefier size and age profile to the decade older Deiveson Figueiredo (25-6-1) suggests this is very much a fight made for the ‘Kung Fu Kid’ to style out and get back in the win column after losing to Sean O’Malley earlier this year.

That said, for as imposing as Song is expected to be, ‘Deus da Guerra’ is not the type to be bullied easily and has been stopped just three times across his career – once to submission and twice via injury.

He was also rocked pretty badly by Petr Yan at UFC 299 and still powered through despite losing by decision.

Song’s last stoppage victory was over Ricky Simon in 2023 so, for as much as he may bash the Brazilian over five rounds, the chances of him staying down are as slim as they get.

Still, the pressure he applies should be more than enough to have his arm raised.

Tip 2 – Zhang to win & under 1.5 rounds @ 10/11

Four straight first-round wins by KO/TKO cemented Mingyang Zhang (19-7-0) as one of the biggest brutes the light heavyweight division has seen in recent years.

That was until Johnny Walker caused easily the biggest upset of 2025 in Shanghai, hitting the ‘Mountain Tiger’ with a taste of his own medicine.

UFC Macau is a second chance for Zhang to restore that fear factor but also for the promotion to build a new marketable star in Asia, which more than explains his choice of opponent in Alonzo Menifield (17-6-1).

For context, Menifield has lost six times by KO/TKO with half occurring in the last two years alone, including as recently as last November against Volkan Oezdemir.

Yeah… this is going to be over quick.

Tip 3 – Pavlovich by KO, TKO or DQ @ 2/5

Speaking of fighters with devastating knockout power…

Sergei Pavlovich (20-3-0) is back on another card and looks set to do what he does best: deliver maximum punishment via some of the heaviest overhands you’ll see swung inside the octagon.

The third-ranked Russian is up against the somewhat unproven Tallison Teixeira (9-1-0), who is still yet to get his feet fully under the table after bursting onto the scene against Justin Tafa at UFC 312.

‘Xicao’ knocked Tafa out with a nasty elbow in 35 seconds only to be knocked out himself in exactly 35 seconds against Derrick Lewis in his following fight.

The Brazilian bounced back with a win over Tai Tuivasa in a performance that was far from convincing – the kind that should give Pavlovich plenty to work with given his one-inch reach advantage.

Pavlovich has only lost to the best of the best the division has to offer and is still very much on the hunt for gold in UFC.

Knocking out Teixeira could be exactly what he needs to get those title shot talks going again.
