BETMGM GOLDEN GOALS STAT PACK SPECIAL: FA CUP & PREMIER LEAGUE

The FA Cup and the Premier League collide in this Golden Goals Stat Pack Special – and there are some superb clashes on the cards.

Where else to start than the bottom of the top flight?

Tottenham’s vital trip to face an already-relegated Wolves side seems the ideal opportunity for the Lilywhites to pick up a first league win since late December.

Relegation rivals West Ham are at home to Everton, hoping to put daylight between themselves and the drop zone while, at the top, faltering Arsenal host an out-of-sorts Newcastle and Liverpool can all but assure Champions League football with a win over Crystal Palace.

In the hunt for FA Cup glory, treble-chasing Manchester City take on Championship Southampton before, on Sunday, old rivals Chelsea and Leeds face off under the Wembley arch.

Remember, successfully predicting the scorelines in these games could net you up to £250,000. The best part? Getting as few as two scores correct could mean one of several prizes heading your way, ranging from Free Bets to a share of £5,000 cash!

LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

  • Form (most recent first): Liverpool WLWLL / Crystal Palace DLWWW
  • Last result: Everton 1-2 Liverpool / Crystal Palace 0-0 West Ham
  • Liverpool home record all competitions: W16 D4 L6
  • Crystal Palace away record all competitions: W10 D6 L9
  • Key stat: Only Arsenal (36) and Manchester City (32) have more shutouts in the league than Palace's 28 since Oliver Glasner's first game in February 2024.

A 99th-minute winner by captain Virgil Van Dijk against bitter rivals Everton, the third latest in Premier League history, has helped stabilize the Arne Slot ship. But questions remain among supporters.

The Toffees were marginally the better side throughout and a last-minute winner is unlikely to sway the large number of doubting fans that remain. The Reds have not been in good goalscoring form of late, with just four in five games.

Crystal Palace are proving increasingly difficult to score against. They have the third-best defensive record in the league, having conceded just 36. Indeed, they have only allowed three goals across their last four league matches.

A narrow home win at odds of 21/50 carries its own appeal but check out our Bet Builder for bigger odds.

BetMGM’s Bet Builder: Liverpool to win & under 2.5 goals @ 3/1

WEST HAM 1-1 EVERTON

  • Form (most recent first): West Ham DWLLD / Everton LDWLW
  • Last result: West Ham 0-0 Crystal Palace / Everton 1-2 Liverpool
  • West Ham home record all competitions: W5 D6 L8
  • Everton away record all competitions: W7 D4 L6
  • Key stat: Eight of the last 10 meetings have produced under 2.5 goals

Despite firing blanks at Selhurst Park this past Monday, West Ham continue to pull themselves out of dire straits as one of the most in-form sides in the Premier League.

They currently sit two points above the drop having spent the majority of the season reeling in the relegation zone.

It’s a revival show run by a number of important figures; the likes of Crysencio Summerville, whose five goals rank top of those in claret and blue since the turn of the year and in the moments that matter.

Everton suffered a late defeat in the Merseyside Derby last weekend courtesy of a Virgil van Dijk header in the 100th minute, so they won’t make it easy for the Irons with the prospect of European football still within touching distance.

What’s more, the Toffees tend to play better on the road as the fifth-best team in the Premier League away table going into Matchday 34.

BetMGM’s Bet Builder: Draw, under 2.5 goals & Summerville to score anytime @ 25/1

WOLVES 2-1 TOTTENHAM

  • Form (most recent first): Wolves LLDLW / Tottenham DLLWD
  • Last result: Leeds 3-0 Wolves / Tottenham 2-2 Brighton
  • Wolves home record all competitions: W6 D3 L12
  • Tottenham away record all competitions: W6 D7 L9
  • Key stat: Wolves are unbeaten in their last three home games (vs Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa)

Brighton’s 95th-minute equaliser last week felt terminal for Tottenham – even though it isn’t.

Spurs put in an improved performance in front of their own fans and Xavi Simons looked to have won it, though the tears he cried at full-time were not of the joy that looked within their grasp.

The Lilywhites haven’t won a league game since December. When things are against you, they are against you. A trip to Wolves, now officially relegated, should represent a huge opportunity.

They must win this, it just feels inevitable that they won’t. Only a late equaliser prevented a Wolves win in the return fixture and, though they have been all but down for some time, they can now play with no pressure at all.

They are unbeaten in their last three league games at Molineux, all against top-six opposition. A draw with Arsenal before beating Aston Villa and Liverpool is no mean feat – but this could be the most important scalp of all.

Rodrigo Gomes scored in those two wins and has three Premier League goals in just six starts. He is 18/1 to find the net here in what would be a damaging Wolves win.

BetMGM’s Bet Builder: Rodrigo Gomes to score and Wolves to win @ 18/1

ARSENAL 4-0 NEWCASTLE

  • Form (most recent first): Arsenal LDLWL / Newcastle LLLLW
  • Last result: Man City 2-1 Arsenal / Newcastle 1-2 Bournemouth
  • Arsenal home record all competitions: W20 D4 L3
  • Newcastle away record all competitions: W7 D6 L11
  • Key stat: Since the Premier League season began, Arsenal have sat atop the Premier League for 206 days. City spent six days at the summit.

If you’d have taken a temperature check in the immediate aftermath of Arsenal’s defeat to Manchester City at the weekend, you’d have thought the destination of the title was decided.

But in the mouthed words of Declan Rice to Martin Odegaard: “It’s not done”.

It could come down to who has the better goal difference and, fortunately for the Gunners, they face a hopelessly out-of-sorts Newcastle side that are plummeting down the league table.

The Magpies have lost each of their previous three games 2-1, with winners in each of those games coming in the 85th minute or later.

It likely won’t be as tight this time. A comfortable home win looks on the cards but also check out our in-play odds for a goal to be scored between minute 75 and full-time because this Newcastle team concedes plenty of late goals.

BetMGM’s Bet Builder: Arsenal to score 3+ goals & Kai Havertz to score anytime @ 7/2.

CHELSEA 0-1 LEEDS

  • Form (most recent first): Chelsea LLLWL / Leeds DWWDD
  • Last result: Brighton 3-0 Chelsea / Bournemouth 2-2 Leeds
  • Chelsea Wembley record all competitions: W33 L25
  • Leeds Wembley record all competitions: W2 L6
  • Key stat: Chelsea have lost all of their last five games at Wembley

Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea… where did it all go wrong?

The now Liam Rosenior-less side are in shoddy form, losing all of their last five Premier League games and have failed to even score a goal in the league since the 4-1 win over Aston Villa at the start of March.

Leeds are in much better shape to perform on such a stage and shouldn’t require much motivation given the well-documented history between these two – especially in the oldest football competition in the world.

The Whites have not lost to the Club World Cup winners this season and even beat them 3-1 at Elland Road back in December.

The reverse fixture ended 2-2 with Noah Okafor levelling the game in the 73rd minute – the same Noah Okafor who has either scored or assisted in three of his last four appearances.

It could get worse before it gets better for Chelsea, so don’t be too surprised if they bow out of another cup competition with a whimper against a Daniel Farke side full of exuberance.

BetMGM’s Bet Builder: Leeds to win, BTTS - no & Okafor to score or assist @ 23/2

MANCHESTER CITY 4-1 SOUTHAMPTON

  • Form (most recent first): Man City WWWWW / Southampton DWWWW
  • Last result: Burnley 0-1 Man City / Southampton 2-2 Bristol City
  • Man City Wembley record all competitions: W22 D7 L16
  • Southampton Wembley record all competitions: W3 D0 L8
  • Key stat: Southampton have only ever beaten City once in the FA Cup – a 5-1 win in 1960

City are on a roll – but then again so are Southampton.

The Saints haven’t lost since mid-January, a 2-1 reverse to Hull, and knocked out Arsenal in the last round.

Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Bristol City was a blow to their automatic promotion hopes that their astonishing run had given them, but they will believe they can reach a first FA Cup final since 2003.

Pep Guardiola’s men will have other ideas. Last week’s win over Arsenal felt huge – something has been brewing at the Etihad in recent weeks.

An EFL Cup win in 2023 is Southampton’s only success in this fixture in the last 10 meetings and, despite their fine run of form, it will remain likely that way.

Antoine Semenyo has two FA Cup goals for City and 18 in all competitions, including his strikes for Bournemouth, and may well fancy his chances of adding more here.

Saints have had a good run with some memorable moments but this will be a game too far. Time to focus on getting to the Premier League.

BetMGM’s Bet Builder: Semenyo to score two or more @ 23/4
