Eurovision Song Contest 2026 betting tips: Favourites could be worth taking on
The Eurovision Song Contest is back with its usual explosion of colour and controversy and we look set to see a spectacular show in Vienna on Saturday night.
Finland are this year's favourites for a first success since rockers Lordi blew the opposition away in 2006, while Australia have been a popular pick since their semi-final performance as they seek to land their first victory in their 12th year in the competition.
It's expected to be a tough night for UK entry Look Mum No Computer, who are joint-favourites to finish in last place, but anything can happen at Eurovision and here are our three favourite bets for the annual music jamboree.
Tip 1 - France each-way @ 33/1
Favourites Croatia and Sweden have been beaten in the last two Eurovision Song Contests, and while 2026 market leaders Finland look to have a strong chance, they are worth taking on at odds-on.
Australia have been all the rage in the last couple of days after capturing the public's imagination with their performance in the second semi-final.
The Aussies are still awaiting their first Eurovision success having first entered in 2015, but former Neighbours actress Delta Goodrem looks to be their best hope since they finished second at the second attempt.
The value has surely gone out of that price, though, and, while last year's winner JJ was ninth in the running order, no act who performed in the first eight has won since 2003 and Australia are therefore worth approaching with caution from eighth.
At a more sporting price, France are worth an each-way interest at 33/1. As a big-four nation, like the UK, they don't need to compete in the semi-finals and therefore have a chance to make a bigger impact in the final.
This year's entry, Regarde by Monroe, packs a real punch and should go down particularly well with the juries.
After three top-seven finishes in the last five years, France can continue their strong recent record with another high-quality entry.
Tip 2 - Romania each-way @ 16/1
Romania have been gathering steam in the outright market and at 16/1 they merit each-way support.
The nation has a patchy record in the competition with only one top-10 finish in the last 12 runnings, but further back, they had three top-four finishes in 2005, 2006 and 2010 and may be able to return to those heights this year.
Alexandra Capitanescu's entry has courted controversy this year but it has the potential to go down well with both the juries and the public and a cracking draw of 24th of the 25 acts is another factor in its favour.
Tip 3 - Sweden top-10 finish @ 7/4
Sweden are the most successful Eurovision nation in this year's competition, with their fellow seven-time winners Ireland not taking part this year.
While the Swedes were beaten favourites in 2025, they have come back with another strong contender in My System by Felicia and the high-energy dance track is hard to ignore.
Sweden have had an impressive 10 top-five finishes since 2011 and have finished outside the top 10 only twice in that time. At 7/4 to at least make the top 10 again, the Swedes look great value.
