BEST FINALS NIGHT EVER? – BETMGM PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS PLAY-OFFS RECAP AS LITTLER WINS IT ALL

Luke Littler has done it again.

A gripping, back-and-forth night of darts at the O2 culminated in the Nuke pipping defending champion Luke Humphries to the title – on a night where every possible leg of darts was played.

It was his second BetMGM Premier League title and he continued his record of making at least the showpiece of every Premier League season he has participated in.

Here’s everything you need to know about Finals Night in a nutshell:

  • Premier League winner: Luke Littler
  • Runner-up: Luke Humphries
  • Key takeaway: All three matches on the night required a deciding leg; 45 180s is the most on a Finals Night since the format change; Humphries averaged over 105 in defeat to Littler, the second-highest losing average in a Premier League final; the Luke vs Luke meeting was their third consecutive Premier League final face-off; Littler has won all three PDC major events in 2026 and now holds eight different singles majors at once

How Finals Night Unfolded in London

Littler had kicked off the night against Gerwyn Price.

He looked to be cruising but a comeback from the Welshman saw a 19th leg required – though the Nuke regained his composure to win.

Jonny Clayton then took on Humphries in the second semi-final and looked to be down and out early on, yet a stunning comeback saw the Ferret lead 9-7.

He couldn’t get over the line, though, and Cool Hand reeled him in to win 10-9 in the deciding leg.

Littler vs Humphries stats

The final was then a game for the ages.

Containing 17 maximums, a 108 combined average, multiple 11-darters, three ton-plus checkouts and more, the match undoubtedly took its place among the best Premier League finals of all-time.

A topsy-turvy affair, Humphries broke to level it at 10-10 before Littler took out tops to finally put an absolute classic to bed and claim his second BetMGM Premier League crown.

The 19-year-old hit 12 180s and averaged a stunning 111.67 on his way to victory – joining Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen as the only players to average more than 110 in a Premier League final win.

THE WINNER’S ENCLOSURE WITH… LUKE LITTLER

“This has been a rollercoaster,” Littler said post-match.

"I was sat at home saying to [girlfriend] Faith 'I don't want to do it any more, it’s just the crowd every week'. I said to her 'I'm down bad'.

“And after four weeks I was near the bottom of the table, then on Night 5 I won my first night.

“I’ve had to pick myself up after some tough times, but I’m here with the trophy!
