CLAYTON SUPREME BY THE SEA – BETMGM PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS NIGHT 10 RECAP

Jonny Clayton soared back to the top of the BetMGM Premier League table after picking up the trophy on Night 10 in Brighton.

The Ferret secured victory with a stunning comeback win over Michael van Gerwen in the final to go three points clear at the summit.

Here’s everything you need to know about Night 10 in a nutshell:

  • Night 8 winner: Jonny Clayton
  • Runner-up: Michael van Gerwen
  • Key takeaway: Defending champion Luke Humphries is now five points off a play-off spot and second-bottom of the table; Luke Littler produced his lowest ever televised average of 83.94 in defeat to Stephen Bunting; Van Gerwen’s 101.34 average in the final was the only 100+ average of the night

How Night 10 Unfolded in Brighton

It was a bit of a strange night on the south coast, with Clayton handling a low-scoring evening better than anyone.

The Welshman saw off a struggling Humphries in a quarter-final deciding leg, with the 2025 BetMGM Premier League champion seemingly unable to get matches over the line.

Clayton would then get revenge over Rock in the semis, having lost two quarter-final clashes to the Northern Irishman in the last two weeks, before coming from 5-2 down to beat MVG in the final.

On the other side of the draw Rock played well to beat Gerwyn Price for his third win of the season and his first not against Clayton, while Van Gerwen triumphed in the all-Dutch affair that rounded off the last-eight games, beating Gian van Veen 6-4.

Mighty Mike scraped past Bunting and looked like claiming his second nightly win of the season before Clayton’s comeback win.

THE WINNER’S ENCLOSURE WITH… JONNY CLAYTON

"I thought the game was over,” Clayton said post-match. “He missed and gave me a chance. We've got to take chances.

“The last leg was probably my best of the game but they all count; I'm through, back on top of the table and it's time for Luke Littler to start chasing me again.

"I know what it's like to be here, I've got the experience, I know what it takes to get to Finals Night.

Clayton quote

“You've got to play darts, take your chances and, if you play half-decent, you've got a chance of playing on Night 17.

“I lost to Josh last week and the week before. Last week's game was brilliant – Josh hit every double going. That puts you under pressure.

“I was just looking for two points coming into tonight, anything else was a bonus. So to end the night back in top spot with another trophy for the cabinet is great."
