BETMGM PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS NIGHT 14 RECAP: A LUKE LEEDS HAT-TRICK… BUT IT’S LITTLER!
Luke Littler claimed his third nightly win in a row and record-equalling sixth overall to stay top of the BetMGM Premier League table after a marathon night in Leeds where six of the seven matches went to a deciding leg.
The Nuke beat Luke Humphries in the showpiece for the second week in a row but the runner-up spot was enough for the defending champion to move into the top four at the expense of Michael van Gerwen.
Littler and Jonny Clayton remain well clear of the chasing pack but the race for third and fourth is becoming extraordinarily tight as Finals Night at the O2 draws closer.
Here’s everything you need to know about Night 14 in a nutshell:
- Night 14 winner: Luke Littler
- Runner-up: Luke Humphries
- Key takeaway: Littler’s win was his sixth of the season, equalling his own record set last term; Humphries moved into the top four for the first time since Night 7; Gerwyn Price remains third but has now suffered four quarter-final defeats in five weeks; Josh Rock is now officially eliminated; Littler hit 14 180s, the joint-most of any night this season alongside Van Gerwen’s Night 12 haul; Humphries’ final defeat means no player has managed to win on their home night this season

How Night 14 Unfolded in Leeds
It was a topsy-turvy night in West Yorkshire with Littler and Humphries meeting in the final for the second week in a row.
The Nuke edged it in another deciding leg on Humphries’ home night but the signs are there that the defending champion is improving and he now occupies a play-off spot.
The action started with a Welsh derby between Price and Clayton. The Iceman was never at the races with Clayton quickly romping to a 6-2 win – the only match of the night that didn’t go the distance.

Littler then beat Van Gerwen, whose second quarter-final loss in a row saw him fall to fifth, while Rock and Humphies fought out a thriller that Cool Hand just edged 6-5.
The quarters were rounded off by Stephen Bunting beating Gian van Veen – a major dent to the Giant’s play-off hopes.
Bunting lost a bona fide thriller to Humphries in the semis, with both players averaging over 105, after Littler edged Clayton in the battle of the top two.
The home crowd did their best to help roar Humphries to victory but he couldn’t get over the line and missed a match dart, with Littler claiming a third win in a row.
THE WINNER’S ENCLOSURE WITH… LUKE LITTLER
"It was a very good night,” Littler said post-match. “Every game, apart from the first match [between Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton] went to a last-leg decider so the crowd definitely got their money's worth!
"I'm very happy with myself and now I can go on to break my own record.

"Seeing Luke [Humphries] miss for the match was crucial. I pounced on it. But it was another good game between us.
"I'll take winning three nights in a row… I'm in the clear now, I just need to keep top spot."
