How Night 8 Unfolded in Berlin

Littler was simply magnificent in the German capital.

The world number one averaged over 105 in all three of his games and the two big fish finishes in the final exemplified the level he is playing at right now.

The Nuke defeated Stephen Bunting in the quarters – despite the Bullet averaging a whopping 107.47 – before coming through another clash with Gerwyn Price, who had just thrashed Gian van Veen 6-1, to set up the showdown with Mighty Mike.

On the other side of the draw, it was BetMGM Premier League joy at last for Rock.

The Northern Irishman picked up his first points with a surprise win over then-leader Clayton, which resulted in a semi-final meeting with Van Gerwen after the Dutchman beat Humphries 6-3.

Rocky couldn’t contain the seven-time Premier League champion and, although Littler’s astonishing finishing won the final, his first wins since Night 2 put him in the play-off spaces.

THE WINNER’S ENCLOSURE WITH… LUKE LITTLER

"It's been very interesting this Premier League," Littler said post-match.

"Obviously Jonny [Clayton] ran away with it a little bit but I thought there was going to be a much bigger gap while I was sat seventh.

"I was also in sixth at one point but now they can all try and catch me!

"[I’m] feeling very good, better than the first few weeks.

“Now I'm at the top, I don't want to move from there – I want to stay at the top."

Updated 2026 BetMGM Premier League Darts Table

Littler’s second consecutive nightly win means he has healfrogged clayton at the top of the table and has a two-point lead over the Welshman – but more importantly has created a 10-point gap between him and fifth-placed Humphries.

Clayton suffered a second quarter-final loss in a row but still has a five-point advantage over Price in third.

After making three of the first four finals, Van Veen hasn’t won a match since and is four points off the top four.

Bunting is two points further back in seventh while, despite picking up his first win of the season, Rock has a lot of work to do to threaten the upper echelons of the table.
