BETMGM VS LAURA WOODS: PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS NIGHT 9

The BetMGM Premier League Darts heads to Manchester for Night 9 with a new leader – Luke Littler.

The Nuke hunted down and overhauled Jonny Clayton with his third win in four nights as the competition passed the halfway stage.

World number one Littler beat Michael van Gerwen in the final, with the Dutchman rediscovering some form to move into the top four.

Littler’s win and 170 checkouts meant our ambassador Laura Woods moved even further ahead in our weekly challenge, with the Nuke’s 180 haul bagging us our only point – ominously for us, our ambassador is now leading 8-3.

Each week, Laura pits her darting wits against the house to predict the action across three key markets:

  • Night Winner
  • Most 180s
  • Highest Checkout

A point is awarded for every correct prediction with two bonus points going to whoever calls all three correctly.

With Laura now five ahead after eight nights, the pressure is certainly on us to turn it around – and fast!

NIGHT 9 FIXTURES

Here’s the draw bracket for BetMGM Premier League Darts Night 9:

Manchester bracket

Littler took his time but he has arrived at the summit.

Clayton suffered back-to-back quarter-final exits in the last two weeks, the latest handing Josh Rock his long-awaited first points of the season.

Price sits in third as the race for the play-off spots really gathers pace. Van Gerwen currently occupies the final spot in the top four, with defending champion Luke Humphries two points adrift.

Gian van Veen, Stephen Bunting and Rock round off the standings.

The fixtures this week see Van Gerwen open up against Bunting, looking to strengthen his hold on his play-off spot, before Price takes on Humphries.

Van Veen plays Littler before the quarter-final ties are rounded off by an immediate rematch between Clayton and Rock.

NIGHT 9 BETTING ODDS

So what do the odds say is likely to happen in Manchester?

NIGHT 9 WINNER BETTING

After back-to-back wins, it is perhaps no surprise that Littler leads the night winner market at Evens.

Humphries finds himself out of the top four and without a nightly win, but is still the 4/1 second favourite followed by Price at 6/1.

Van Gerwen, after winning his first matches since Night 2 last week, is available at 8/1, with Clayton at 10s.

Van Veen and Bunting back be backed at 14/1 while Rock, despite finally getting off the mark in Berlin, is the outsider at 16s.

NIGHT 9 180s BETTING

Averaging four 180s a game and once again topping the maximums standings last week, Littler is Evens to do so again.

It’s 4/1 for Humphries and 8/1 for Price, with Van Gerwen and Bunting available to back at 9s.

Clayton is 11/1 to throw the most 180s, which he did on Night 5, with Van Veen at 18/1 and rock at 20s.

NIGHT 9 HIGHEST CHECKOUT BETTING

His penchant for a 170 finish makes the Nuke the favourite for the highest checkout market, too. He’s 7/2 to have the highest finish in Manchester.

Humphries is yet to do so but is 9/2 second favourite, while Price, Clayton and Van Gerwen are all 6/1.

It’s 13/2 for Bunting, 7/1 for Rock and 13/2 for Van Veen, despite the Giant having as many 100+ checkouts as Littler.
