How Night 2 Unfolded in Antwerp

The Iceman cometh in Antwerp.

Gerwyn Price roared back to form on the BetMGM Premier League's historic debut in Belgium.

The Welshman claimed the Night 2 crown at AFAS Dome by ending Michael van Gerwen’s perfect start to the season with a powerful 6-3 victory in the final – his second thrashing of the Dutchman in three days after a 6-0 win on the floor in Germany.

The night was kick-started by the blockbuster quarter-final between Luke Littler and Luke Humphries. In a match for the ages the Nuke staged a stunning comeback, surviving three match darts to win an epic last-leg decider.

However with both Lukes falling before the final for the second week running, the league table has been blown wide open.

After two thrilling weeks the sport's two biggest names find themselves outside the top four, proving the relentless nature of the BetMGM Premier League.

THE WINNER’S ENCLOSURE

"I played fantastic in Germany [Players Championship],” Price said post-match. “But it's trying to do it on the main stage. Towards the end I did and I tried to focus. It was great.

“Just to get two points, I was happy, but five points is even better – and 10 grand!

Gerwyn Price quote

"I think I'm playing some of the best stuff I've played. I'm just not winning tournaments but that will come.

“If I keep playing the way I am there's no way I can't pick up a major, pick up ProTours, Europeans (European Tour events).

“I just need to keep entering as much as I can and keep the form rolling.”

Updated 2026 BetMGM Premier League Darts Table

Van Gerwen still leads the way after following up maximum points in Newcastle with a final run in Antwerp.

Price has moved up to second though with a leg difference of just four as three of his four matches this season have gone to deciders.

The Iceman’s World Cup team-mate Jonny Clayton and beaten Night 1 finalist Gian Van Veen round off the play-off spots meaning both Lukes, Stephen Bunting and Rock have work to do in Glasgow.

Next Up: Night 3 in Glasgow

The Premier League Darts season continues next Thursday as we head to the OVO Hydro in Glasgow for Night 3.

The opening matches are set in stone, with a rematch of Night 2 semi-final between Van Gerwen and Littler the standout tie – though the all-Welsh affair pitting Clayton against World Cup team-mate Price might argue that point.
