CAN HUMPHRIES GO BACK TO BACK? – BETMGM PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS FINALS NIGHT TIPS

It’s here.

After 16 nights of pulsating BetMGM Premier League Darts action it all comes down to one last showdown at the O2.

The top four – Luke Littler, Jonny Clayton, Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price – take to the stage for the right to be crowned BetMGM Premier League champion.

Our 2024 champion Littler faces Price, who is the only one of the top four yet to win the Premier League, before Clayton takes on defending titlist Humphries in the semis.

The two winners will then meet in a best-of-21 clash for the title and an impressive £350,000.

BetMGM Premier League Darts Finals Night Tips: 4/1 Littler vs Price Bet Builder

  • Littler to win
  • Over 16.5 legs
  • Littler over 6.5 180s

Leg 1 – Littler to win

Price hasn’t beaten Littler in the Premier League since Night 6 of the 2025 competition – that’s nine consecutive defeats.

He hasn’t defeated him at all since January, so it’s safe to say the Nuke comes into this one as favourite.

Their form over the past few weeks backs this up too.

Littler won two of the final four nights and made the final of another – he only lost once in the quarter-finals since Night 9.

Standings after night 16

Price won on Night 12 but was out at the first hurdle on four of the final seven nights, almost stumbling over the Play-offs Night line.

The Welshman missed the chance to secure third place and avoid Littler, so now he has to face the man against whom he has that awful recent record.

These two met last year in the semi-finals, too. That ended in a 10-7 win for Littler, who has made the final both seasons he has featured in the BetMGM Premier League.

This one looks like it’s going a similar way.

Leg 2 – Over 16.5 legs in the match

Last year’s meeting hit this threshold, and with plenty of games for each player going the distance in the regular season, we don’t see a complete display of dominance for Littler in victory.

Littler has had the most games go the distance, with 38% of his matches needing a decider, while for Price it’s nine of his 29 games (31%) ending 6-5.

While over 16.5 legs isn’t ‘going the distance’ in this best-of-19 tussle it would certainly be a worthy match – something the Welshman will be eager to ensure.

Leg 3 – Littler to throw over 6.5 180s

His 180 hitting needs no introduction.

The Nuke’s 121 in 24 games is the highest of any player and an average of 3.56 per match tops the charts too – both would have been higher had he not thrown just four in two matches last week.

Littler has topped the 180s standings on six separate weeks this term, double the amount of anyone else, and his 14 maximums on Night 14 was the joint highest of any player this year.

He threw six 180s in the semi against Price in the play-offs last season but backing him to go at least one better here is a smart move to complete our first Finals Night Bet Builder.

BetMGM Premier League Darts Finals Night Tips: 10/3 Clayton vs Humphries Bet Builder

  • Clayton highest checkout
  • Humphries most 180s

Leg 1 – Clayton to have the highest checkout

The Ferret has had a BetMGM Premier League return to remember, despite a bit of a blip in the final stages.

Since winning Nights 10 and 11, and being runner-up on Night 12, the Welshman won just one game until the end of the season.

Overall, though, it was a stunning campaign for the 2021 champion, who will fancy his chances of making the final again this time round.

Clayton stats

His fantastic finishing has been a major part of his success this year, with his checkout rate of 44.77% the best of all players.

Clayton also has the most matches with the highest checkout, with 18 of his 32 matches seeing him hit the best finish.

He’s had the highest finish on the night three times so far this season and also had the highest checkout the last time these two met back on Night 10. We’re backing him to do so again here.

Leg 2 – Humphries to throw the most 180s

Cool Hand finished the regular season like a train.

Four consecutive appearances in the nightly final and a win in Birmingham saw him clinch a spot at the O2… and his high scoring was a huge help.

He threw the most 180s in two of the last four nights and ended the 16 nights with 98 thrown in his 31 matches – the second-highest total of all players and the second-highest per match behind Littler.

Humphries stats

Only Littler topped the nightly maximum standings more than Humphries’ three times and, in his four matches with Clayton, the defending champion has outscored the Ferret on 180s in three of them.

His consistent 180 hitting enabled Cool Hand to end the season with the highest average in the league with an impressive 101.33.

If he picks up where he left off, the treble 20 may take a real beating in London.

Here are the night winner odds:

PL winner odds

Given the way he ended the regular season, 9/4 for Humphries to defend his crown stands out.

Hitting form at the right time, he has also recently performed well against Littler which could be huge should the two favourites make the final for the third successive season.

Josh Rock’s nine-darter in Belfast is still the only perfect leg of the 2026 BetMGM Premier League Darts and he remains the sole recipient this year of the golden darts worth £30,000.

Littler famously threw a nine-darter in the final on his way to winning the BetMGM Premier League in 2024 – if you fancy that to happen again it is 9/2 for a nine to be thrown at any point on Finals Night or 40/1 for two or more. Littler is 16/1 to hit one in his semi-final.

You can also dive into a full range of specials, including total 180s, over/under legs and King of the Oche, as well as Bet Builders and in-play betting throughout this year’s BetMGM Premier League Darts finale.

And that’s not all… you could win up to £10,000 on Finals Night at the O2 with BetMGM’s Golden Giveaway!
