BETMGM PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS: BUNTING HEADS 19/2 NIGHT 12 ACCA
Can hometown hero Stephen Bunting put on a show in Liverpool and climb off the foot of the BetMGM Premier League table on Night 12?
A packed M&S Bank Arena will roar on the Liverpudlian as he looks to build on some recent strong results following a challenging start to the season.
Chris Dobey took the glory in Rotterdam, securing his first nightly win of the campaign on Night 11, but Bunting made it all the way to his second final in three weeks.
The Bullet faces a formidable challenge to seal his second nightly victory with the likes of seven-time winner Michael van Gerwen and 2018 world champion Rob Cross both still waiting to claim their first.
Van Gerwen and Cross are two of five players from third to seventh separated by just five points as the race to claim a top-four berth heats up.
Play-offs Night at London’s O2 is just six weeks away. Who will seize the initiative on Merseyside?
Here is the full quarter-final running order for Night 12:
BetMGM Premier League Darts Tips: 19/2 Night 12 Acca
- Aspinall most 180s vs Humphries
- Van Gerwen to hit over 2.5 180s vs Littler
- Bunting to beat Cross
- Price vs Dobey under 9.5 legs
Leg 1 – Nathan Aspinall to hit the most 180s vs Luke Humphries @ 5/6
Aspinall has been quietly devastating on the treble 20 this season – and the numbers prove it.
He sits second in the maximums table with 66 180s, averaging 3.30 per match, and sits behind only league leader Littler, who is just six away from tying the season-long record of 128.
The Asp has been more prolific than his Night 12 opponent when it matters most, too.
Aspinall has outscored Humphries in 180s in four of their last five meetings across all formats, including twice already in this year’s BetMGM Premier League.
He’s also on a run of strong form, taking the win in Manchester on Night 10 and reaching the semi-finals in Rotterdam last week.
Humphries, for all his class and steady 140 hitting, has not been relying on maximum scoring in quite the same way and his 2.70 180s per match means the world number one sits second-bottom of the league in that metric.
Aspinall is chasing the top four and is in great form; Humphries sits pretty in second but hasn’t won a night since Night 4. This is the kind of match-up where the Asp’s scoring rhythm can shine through.
With the Finals Night race intensifying, we fancy him to lead the way in the maximums market once again – 5/6 for Aspinall to hit the most 180s in the match looks more than fair.

Leg 2 – Michael van Gerwen to hit over 2.5 180s @ 8/11
It’s been a strange year for Van Gerwen.
The seven-time Premier League champion has yet to win a night but has had moments of genuine quality and reminded everyone what he is capable of by winning the German Grand Prix in Munich at the start of the week while hitting a sensational nine-darter in the process.
Now the Dutchman faces Littler in a repeat of the 2025 World Championship final. While the Nuke has taken four of their five meetings since Ally Pally, this is no foregone conclusion.
But the win in Germany will see MVG arrive in Liverpool with a spring in his step and his scoring has remained potent even during patchy performances.
Indeed, he’s hit 51 180s this season – an average of 2.83 per match – and has cleared the 2.5 180s mark in three of their last four Premier League encounters.
We’re backing him to do that again at 8/11 for MVG to hit over 2.5 180s in the match.
It’s true Van Gerwen hasn’t always shown his best form against the world number two but, with the three-time world champion needing a result to reassert his top-four credentials, this feels tailor-made for one mighty scoring surge.
Leg 3 – Stephen Bunting to beat Rob Cross @ 4/5
It’s been a tough BetMGM Premier League campaign for Bunting – but the tide may just be turning at the right time.
Eight consecutive defeats have been followed by a win and a semi-final appearance in the last three weeks.
The Bullet has the added benefit of a home crowd here in Liverpool – and you can guarantee a party atmosphere when ‘Titanium’ blasts at the M&S Bank Arena.
Bunting’s opponent, 2018 world champion Cross, remains in the mix but is yet to secure a nightly win this season, sits just four points ahead of the Bullet in the standings and has lost his last three quarter-final appearances.
Voltage will, though, take heart from his record against the Bullet. He hasn’t lost to him since 2022 but, on Merseyside, he will be up against not just Bunting but thousands of fans.
Even when he was losing matches, Bunting often wasn’t playing badly. The 2024 Masters champion has the fourth-highest overall average with 98.64 and now seems to be turning performances into points.
The stakes are high: if the hometown boy has any hopes of a top-four finish, a win here is essential. With his recent resurgence and the backing of his fans, 4/5 for Bunting to win the match looks a solid pick.

Leg 4 – Under 9.5 legs in Gerwyn Price vs Chris Dobey @ 9/10
Dobey's Night 11 triumph – his first since Night 1 in 2023 – reignited his top-four hopes and lifted him within four points of this week’s opponent, Gerwyn Price.
It has been an intriguing competition for the Welshman, with two nightly wins and a runners-up spot but also seven defeats in the last eight and no quarter-final wins since Night 6.
Price’s inconsistency means his spot in the top four is vulnerable and a loss to Dobey in Liverpool would be a huge blow.
Hollywood beat Humphries, Aspinall and Bunting on the way to winning Night 11 – and dropped only seven legs in the process.
Only one of Dobey’s last 10 BetMGM Premier League matches has featured over 9.5 legs, a run which includes a 6-2 defeat to Price in Berlin on Night 9.
Both players have shown a pattern for short, sharp contests. Just 41% of Dobey’s matches this season have gone over 9.5 legs, while Price is only marginally higher at 47%.
With both players erratic and the stats pointing clearly to quickfire match-ups, 9/10 for under 9.5 legs looks a sensible choice to complete the acca.
BETMGM’S NIGHT 12 ACCA
- Aspinall most 180s vs Humphries
- Van Gerwen to hit over 2.5 180s vs Littler
- Bunting to beat Cross
- Price vs Dobey under 9.5 legs
Night 12 BetMGM Specials
Littler arrives in Liverpool as the clear favourite at 6/4 – and with good reason. He won here in 2024 and leads the league table with four nightly wins to his name.
But don’t count out Van Gerwen, who claimed the title here in 2023. Fresh off that victory at the German Grand Prix – and his nine-darter – he is available at 6/1 for a long-overdue nightly win
The home interest will, of course, be with Bunting. The Bullet must be full of confidence and, with an adoring home crowd on his side, the 13/2 for him to take the Night 12 title might just make sense.
Such is the quality of this year’s field that we’ve handed out four sets of custom-made 18ct gold darts already this season – and fully expect to part with more before the final arrow is thrown at London’s O2 on 29th May!
Price, Cross, Humphries and Littler have all hit a perfect leg in the 2025 BetMGM Premier League Darts so far and it’s 7/1 for any player to hit a nine-darter at any point across the night in Liverpool this week and a huge 66/1 for two or more.
From total 180s to King of the Oche, over/under leg wagering and in-play markets, there’s a full suite of betting options available throughout the night.
