LIVERPOOL BOWS TO LITTLER – BETMGM PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS NIGHT 12 RECAP
Luke Littler claimed his fourth nightly win of the BetMGM Premier League season after blowing away Jonny Clayton 6-1 in the final to go within three points of the Welshman at the top of the table.
Clayton and Littler are now well clear of the chasing pack as only four regular nights remain to secure a place at Finals Night at the O2.
Here’s everything you need to know about Night 12 in a nutshell:
- Night 12 winner: Luke Littler
- Runner-up: Jonny Clayton
- Key takeaway: Gian van Veen exited at the semi-final stage for the first time, having either lost in the quarters or made the final in each of the previous 11 weeks; Michael van Gerwen averaged over 107 in defeat to Littler in the last four and hit nine 180s; defending champion Luke Humphries remains adrift of the top four after suffering a sixth quarter-final loss; Littler joins Clayton on four nightly wins and remains second in the table

How Night 12 Unfolded in Liverpool
A pulsating, back-and-forth night in the North West ultimately ended with Littler taking the bragging rights with the thumping win against the Ferret in the final – but there was no shortage of drama throughout the night.
Van Veen got the better of Gerwyn Price in the evening’s opener, with the Iceman suffering a third quarter-final defeat in a row and is now just a point ahead of fourth-placed Van Gerwen.
The Giant, though, couldn’t make a fifth final and saw his 100% semi-final record vanish as he succumbed to Clayton in a deciding leg.

The Ferret set up a meeting with Littler in the final in a repeat of the Rotterdam showpiece from Night 11. Clayton spoiled the party of hometown hero Stephen Bunting earlier in the night but he could not down the Nuke.
Littler had beaten Humphries 6-2 in the last eight, despite Cool Hand averaging almost a ton, and edged a thriller with MVG when taking the 11th leg to win 6-5 and leave Mighty Mike searching for a first nightly win since the very first week in Newcastle.
MVG had earlier beaten Josh Rock, who remains bottom of the table and surely out of play-off consideration.

THE WINNER’S ENCLOSURE WITH… LUKE LITTLER
“It was a good night. I’m very happy with myself,” Littler said post-match.
“Usually the doubling isn’t that good but I’m very thankful it was there tonight.
“I hit a lot of crucial doubles at crucial times throughout the night.

“I was definitely focused. I wanted to win and that’s what I’ve done.
“I’m very close to Jonny now, three points off. I’m going to go chasing, I want to finish top once again.”
