BETMGM PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS NIGHT 14: LITTLER, MVG & OUR 21/2 ACCA
Luke Littler’s fifth nightly win of the season in Birmingham set a new Premier League benchmark – and confirmed his place at Finals Night.
But beneath the table-topping teenager, the race for the remaining three spots has rarely been tighter.
Gerwyn Price is well placed for a top-four finish while Michael van Gerwen clings to fourth, with Nathan Aspinall a point behind and Rob Cross fading after four last-eight exits in five weeks.
Luke Humphries – though he remains fairly comfortable in second – hasn’t won a night since February and requires a return to form if he is to have a chance of BetMGM Premier League glory. Where better to do that than at his home night?
Meanwhile, pride is the prize for Stephen Bunting and Chris Dobey. Although both have won a night this term, a lack of consistency means their campaigns are all but over.
The O2 is on the horizon and Night 14 in Leeds could prove crucial. Here’s the full quarter-final running order at the First Direct Arena:
BetMGM Premier League Darts Tips: 21/2 Night 14 Acca
- Price to beat Cross
- Over 6.5 180s in Aspinall vs Littler
- Van Gerwen to beat Humphries
- Under 9.5 legs in Bunting vs Dobey
Leg 1 – Gerwyn Price to beat Rob Cross @ 4/6
When they met in Liverpool just two weeks ago, Price tore through Cross 6–2 while averaging over 105 in one of his sharpest showings of the campaign.
It was a timely reminder of his ceiling, especially when paired with Cross's recent trend of first-round exits.
Four defeats in five quarter-finals have left Voltage clinging to hope; he likely needs to win two of the three remaining nights to stand a chance. Another early loss here would be terminal.
Despite boasting the third-highest tournament average of 98.80, the 2018 world champion still hasn’t reached a nightly final all season. His scoring has been steady but, outside of a nine-darter in Brighton, he has lacked the explosive moments needed to complete the job.
That isn’t the case with the Iceman. His intensity has rarely dipped for long and he’s produced big moments when it mattered. Momentum – and recent history – are on his side here and we're backing more of the same in Leeds.
Sadly for Voltage, 4/6 for Price to win the match holds great appeal, especially with BetMGM’s early payout should the Welshman go three legs to the good at any point.
Leg 2 – Over 6.5 180s in Nathan Aspinall vs Luke Littler @ 3/5
Aspinall and Littler combined for an impressive 10 maximums in the Night 13 semi-final, a match that left the Asp just outside the top four going into the final stretch.
Littler, the league's 180 leader, has amassed a record-breaking 141 maximums this term, smashing his record of 128 with three regular season nights still to play.
Aspinall, though having hit less than half Littler's total, nonetheless sits second in both the overall and per-game 180s rankings with an average of over 3.2 per contest.
Unsurprisingly, their head-to-head encounters have consistently produced high 180 counts with five of their last six Premier League meetings exceeding the 6.5 mark.
Given their recent form and formidable scoring capabilities, backing over 6.5 180s in the match at 3/5 appears to be a solid selection as Littler looks to reassert his dominance and Aspinall attempts to force his way to the O2.
Leg 3 – Michael van Gerwen to beat Luke Humphries @ 13/10
Humphries returns to 'home' territory in Leeds looking to end a lengthy wait for a nightly win – but the home night edge hasn’t meant much this season.
Only one player has even made a final on home soil so far: Aspinall in Manchester on Night 10. Littler, Price, Van Gerwen, Dobey and Bunting all exited early when backed by local support. Even Cross – if we count Brighton as his home night – failed to reach the showpiece.
Cool Hand remains second overall but hasn’t won a night since Exeter in February and has fallen at the first hurdle in two of the last three weeks.
Van Gerwen, meanwhile, shares the league-best record for reaching the semi-finals despite not lifting a trophy and has lost just once at this venue since 2016.
Crucially, the seven-time champion has also never missed Finals Night under the current format. With just two regular weeks remaining after Leeds, he is fighting to keep that proud record intact.
These two have split their last four meetings equally but Van Gerwen is, marginally, the form player coming into this one and there is no doubt his need is greater – 13/10 for him to pick up the win offers clear value in a fixture that recent history says doesn’t always favour the home favourite.
Remember: BetMGM is paying out early when your player takes a three-leg lead, regardless of the final result. More information can be found here.
Leg 4 – Under 9.5 legs in Stephen Bunting vs Chris Dobey @ 22/25
Both Dobey and Bunting have won a night so far in the 2025 BetMGM Premier League – but inconsistency has defined their campaigns too aptly for them to have ever troubled the top four.
More often than not both have been all but out of games before they have had a chance to impose themselves.
The numbers reflect it: just 47% of Bunting’s matches and 53% of Dobey’s have gone over the 8.5-leg mark and only 38% of their combined matches have reached 10 legs.
Expect another game to flash by here. Both of their Premier League meetings have been 6-2, with a win for each, while the Bullet whitewashed Dobey 6-0 in the Bahrain Masters.
While Bunting did take Littler to a deciding leg last week, that felt like an exception.
More typically his games – like Dobey’s – have been over quickly with neither showing much capacity to grind out long matches when not at their peak.
There is pride at stake, but little else, meaning 22/25 for under 9.5 legs rounds off the acca as a well-supported trend pick in a low-stakes closer.

Night 14 BetMGM Specials
Littler heads to Leeds as the 11/8 favourite to win the night – a familiar position after five nightly titles.
Humphries was victorious here last year and returns as the 9/2 second favourite with MVG, who he beat in that final, at 7/1 just behind Price at 6/1.
With just three weeks to go, players are running out of chances to win a set of custom-made 18ct gold darts before Finals Night at London’s O2 on 29th May.
Littler, Price, Humphries and Cross have all hit nine-darters this season and, at 5/1, there’s potential value in another perfect leg landing in Leeds.
